This is my first event participation, so I'm wondering if events happen often, or if there's holiday events? If so, is there events for thanksgiving and Christmas too?

There isn't usually anything for Thanksgiving. The big ones around here are usually Easter, Halloween, Christmas, and sometimes a Fair.

Other than that, there will also be smaller events like the various themed weeks that have been introduced.

Smh no respect for thanksgiving

Like marshal said, there's usually a big halloween, christmas, and easter event, and a fair in august, although it hasn't been on for a few years because the forum is pretty inactive. There are also some random events that last for about a week, like the bell boom week and the 5 years of new leaf week.

What's the point when thanksgiving gets rejected?:(

Thanksgiving isn't a universal holiday so a large number of users don't celebrate it. e.g. I think of our staff team, 30-40% celebrate American Thanksgiving and 20% Canadian Thanksgiving. The rest of us live in countries where this holiday doesn't exist.

I can't believe there's people out there who don't have thanksgiving. That's just depressing.

It's kinda sad that TBT doesn't do Thanksgiving, but it's kinda nice because it gives a month's worth of break between the two big events, Halloween and Christmas. Gives me time to relax and at least enjoy Thanksgiving where I am. :p

Let's do a thanksgiving egg hunt, but instead of eggs... its forks or like turkeys. I know everyone wants more egg hunts, and if you collect them all first you get a golden fork collectible

also it absolutely makes sense to not celebrate thanksgiving... as Tina said a ton people don't even celebrate it, so like don't force holidays onto people
