Are you a grinch at Christmas, or do you love it?

I am most certainly no Grinch. I have three trees up in my own room alone. =P I adore December and winter, so naturally I love celebrating those. The decorations are beautiful, as well. It's nice to see everything decorated, which pretty much doesn't happen any other time of the year (at least not to anywhere near this extent).

I absolutely love Christmas, it truly is one of the happiest holidays of the year especially as a Christian (Easter being the most exciting of them all in my opinion)! :) I also love being able to enjoy time with my family and plus I love all the food made during Christmas as well! :D I used to find gifts being an exciting aspect of it, but I have found that it is less important as I have gotten older and being able to work for whatever I wanted. lol

I like Christmas for the seasonal stuff. Personally, my family (and now my in-laws) can be a lot to balance, but I love the season of giving and feeling like everyone can come together on that day. I also like Christmas music (even the religious ones). I think its also more fun when you live somewhere it snows (I don't) but I think snow, a fire, and hot cocoa sounds perfect! :) I also wish I knew more little kids so we could do santa stuff, but everyone I currently know in my family is older than like 15.

I?m definitely a Grinch. I explained why in another thread, but I do not like the idea of Christmas.

I'm actually not a grinch at all. I love most things about Christmas.

I mostly enjoy it, except for the repetitive Christmas music from the same artists or new versions from terrible artists.

I think I may be a grinch! I participate in the holiday, but I think the current state of the holiday is just late capitalism on steroids lol! I really hate seeing people waste money they don't have on things they don't need just because there is so much pressure to do so.

I think the idea of having a day set aside to spend with family and have fun is great, but I think we really need to scale back how expensive the holiday is. Those with kids can easily spend thousands on the day if you include food, drink , gifts, clothes.... everything! It's just not right for a single day imo.

I think young children don't have a concept of money, and of course since 'santa' is getting it they ask away without any thought for the value. The parents don't want to disappoint the child by not getting what they ask for. Basically, I'm pretty sure santa is the perfect invention to strong arm people into spending way more money than they have. You see it every year too, spending is way down in January. Everyone is broke.

I love getting into a seasonal spirit especially Halloween. But this year it hasn't sunk in that its near Christmas yet. I think its because the weather here in England has been non stop rain the last couple of weeks. Like it still feels like we're in November :S

Totally know how you feel! I’m listening to Christmas songs constantly to try and get myself in the Christmas spirit hahah!

Oh yeah, I'm a total Grinch. I used to love Christmas, it was my favorite holiday-- but now I'm just annoyed by it.

I love Christmas. Only thing that turns me into a Grinch are those family get-togethers. It's truly horrible.

I'm no Grinch! I love the holiday season, but it is kinda nervewracking because I always want to give gifts to the people I love and care about, but the end result of seeing them smile and enjoying their gift makes it so so worth it. The holidays give me a fuzzy feeling, and my heart could never shrink to be two sizes too small, because the holidays have always been joyful for me.

I wouldn’t say that I’m a grinch. I really do enjoy the season and getting into the spirit of it. But Christmastime is really one of my worst times because (cue the green monster) I feel envious of friends around me being so close with their family and having all these get togethers. I’d like to spend time with my family like we used to as kids but unfortunately now it seems that no one else cares lol. We don’t celebrate it anymore so this time is bittersweet.

Yes and no. I enjoy giving presents to friends, family, those in need, etc. But, the status of family makes me sad, so I don't look forward to Christmas with them, unfortunately. I participate, for their happiness. This year was quite nice, however. I received a warm thank you for giving to one family member that received my gift haha. The others got gifts from me, like every year, but no warm thank yous. I don't get back or expect to receive, cause that's not meaning of Christmas, to me lol. But, the warm thank you surprised me.
