Are you going to collect Gyroids?

I used to sell mine onky because of storage space, but with 5,000 slots per character (I have 6, just started a 7th) I'll keep a full collection. Maybe even including all the variations.

Heck yes! But, also, I'm not likely to keep any I don't like. I'll trade/sell those (are... people really planning on keeping/using every single one? that seems like a lot). But I'm SO pumped to try and get a complete collection... cataloged, or however it'll work. I even have my Gyroid "garden" more or less finished- it looks like an ancient ruins site, complete with archaeologist tent, and it's awesome ☺ Who knows what ancient, gyroid related ceremonies were once held there? Who knows what magic may still linger? No one, really, because it's just so mysterious...

At the moment I do not plan to collect them as I never did in New Leaf and I kind of found them spooky looking.

I wasn’t a big fan of these in NL, but I have to admit the gyroids in NH, are damn cute. I’m looking forward to collecting, growing and customizing these musical creatures.

I wonder if they will get a nookipedia page, or a museum/Roost display so that we will know what we still need to collect? It will be difficult to keep tabs on them otherwise.

I've never liked them, but I've tried to collect them all anyway. I didn't keep or use any long term, though. I always hated how much room they took up and how much storage a collection of them used.

This time around is going to be different. They are so much smaller and cooler looking in this game. I was amazed at the customization of the same gyroids in the direct. There was that tall one that seemed elegant in one and like some alien in another. I might give some to villagers since they look like they'll match a wide variety of decor. I'm going to check the customization for each one and keep it if I like even one of the customization options. I think that means I'll have a larger collection on hand. I also somehow never noticed that they make sounds along with music, so that's a part I'm eager to utilize in a display. I'm hoping the gyroids could be used in some sort of creature display - like a monster display, an alien display, or a fairy tale display. We'll see. I have displays like that scattered across my island for the gnomes, pumpkin scarecrows, and tanuki already so I'd like to add a gyroid one as well and get a nice island theme going.

I'll just get the ones i like the most and as usual sell the ones that i don't really care for. I like the small ones and I'd keep it as an indoor decoration.

probably not, actually! i never really cared about them and only kept a few for decoration in ancl, i dont have the patience for collecting them... if theyre cute, ill keep them around but otherwise i hope they will sell for a decent amount of bells LOL

Tbh, probably an unpopular opinion, but I avoided the gyroids in other Animal Crossing games just bc I felt like they were too difficult to decorate with. In AC:NL I did have a museum room for them but I didn't go out of my way to fill it out. However, I really love how the gyroids look in this version! They're cute, they don't take up a lot of space, and they would look nice in a lot of room themes. I probably won't avidly collect them but I definitely want to decorate with some really cute ones!

I think I will. I was never really interested in them when everyone kept petitioning to bring gyroids back, but then I saw how cute they are and all the different ways you can customize them. I think Nintendo did a really good job on their design.

Im so excited gyroids are returning. They have been such an iconic part of the series and before playing AC i never knew what they were or their purpose was.

i totally need to make the most of every part of this update, since most the week i don't get a chance to connect my switch to the internet. so you'd best believe i'm gonna get my value for money and collect gyroids! i'm still working on fish, bugs and art- but i've already got all the fossils so i welcome more stuff to collect! still working on my k.k. songs too, can't wait to have them all :]

I definitely will! I've been hoping and begging for gyroids ever since I realized they for some silly reason failed to add them in to the base game. I've always loved them lol. I hoarded them as a kid when I played the GC so they're a very nostalgic thing for me. I really really hope that there's at least SOME of the old designs mixed in with the new ones, I'll be so sad if there's none of those and only a small handful of them. I hope that they mixed old with new and that there is also a whole ton of them!!! Not just the ones we saw in the direct hopefully.

I loved using them as outdoor decor in NL. Even though we couldn't place things outside, the gyroids when "dropped" were a cute little gyroid figurine so I scattered them throughout my forests because they added a nice charm to it! So I'm so happy that they still have that look now. But since we can just decorate outside flat out I'll definitely sprinkle some outdoors and indoors both. I'm so excited to set up my gyroid 'garden'!!! I wonder how we can acquire the fragments. I'll probably hoard fragments somehow if I can, if they're easily acquirable. I'm really excited about this part of the update!!!

100% yes! I'll likely place the ones I don't use in one of my other character storages instead of my main. I've collected them in every game so far, NH won't be an exception!

I've never played AC before ACNH so I'm not sure. I think they sound like a neat feature and I like Lloid but still not sure.
