I can't miss something I'm not going to put away, I still like playing games on there, I still play on my SNES! ₍ᐢ⸝⸝? ̫ ?⸝⸝ᐢ₎

Same. Granted I don't play on my SNES as often as I used to, but I still use my old consoles often despite buying a Switch at launch and gaming on it regularly.

I mean i still play the 3DS and probaby will for a long time, the switch is amazing and all but I prefer the simplier yet awesome games that are on the 3ds, plus buying games for it rn is so cheap!

Oh the games are so seriously cheap it's awesome! You can go to Gamestop and get like 3-4 (depending on what they are and their popularity) for 2.99 each. One of these days I wanna get a good bit of cash and just buy a bunch of cheap ds games.

Nope. I don't like playing on the smaller screen.

I have no intention of abandoning the 3DS, and still use it quite a lot. I've had the Switch since November of 2018, and I've been using them both without them conflicting with each other for attention. They each bring something different to the table, so I don't really see why I should want to just leave the 3DS behind. Heck, I just got a couple 3DS games for Christmas too, so yeah, I hope and intend to stick with it for as long as possible. It'll be a sad day when they eventually stop supporting it like they did the Wii.

I'm someone who never really abandons consoles when their successors come out, or when some other competitors' product starts to attract more of my interest. So long as they're still operational, I'll still play old stuff like my Sega Genesis, SNES when I can find it again, N64, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U, etc.

I?m still going to play on it to check my town. I?d feel guilty if I were to desert it. Plus, it still works fine despite the appearance looking very worn.

I’m only going to miss the nice memories of picking up the game on release day, starting my town, and watching it grow. Not to mention playing with friends and meeting new ones online.

With that said, I am definitely ready to move onto the Switch version and leave New Leaf behind. New features, HD graphics, Switch form factor of having portability and a home console setup, and so on will make it hard to go back to the older versions. As silly as it may sound, the improvements they’ve made to the town ambience (such as physics, trees moving, increased foliage, etc.) alone will make it incredibly difficult to return to the older games.

ABSOLUTELY! while i am excited to get my hands on a switch someday, i'm always going to prefer the comfort of pulling out a 3ds, i really miss the hype for it ;_; (plus, the switch's screen is a lot smaller than i initially thought- it's advertised as being able to play out in public but i can't imagine doing that with a group of 3-4! fingers crossed that the switch xl will be out soon?)

Well yes, but no.

I'll still play the 3DS for bringing Pokemon over to Sword/Shield, but I won't play the 3DS often when New Horizons releases.

I'll definitely miss the 3DS in some ways! I feel like every Nintendo system has had its own merits. But playing on the big screen AND being able to take things on the go is such a breath of fresh air!

And AC will be an absolute dream to see in HD, finally !!

Not at all lol. It killed my eyes. I loved new leaf on it...but that was it. The other games did not look great on it honestly. I?m glad Nintendo is focusing on the switch now.

I made the change from 3ds to switch pretty soon after the switch was released so I won't really miss it at all since I don't now... But I do think starting my new horizons town will become bittersweet as I look back on getting new leaf and when I started my first town.

I guess I will miss the 3DS a little bit, as I do spent lots of time with this console and it's games, like New Leaf for a fitting example. However, it was always the case for me in the past that once I got the new gen console, I spent less and less time with the older one, to a point where I didn't cared for said old console anymore at all. Pretty sure same case will be here with the 3DS and having a Switch then, as I already lost my interest for New Leaf to be honest. But I will remember the fun times I had playing with it for sure.

I miss when everyone used street pass. It was really fun, especially if you went abroad and met loads of people from around the world.

Lol I sold my original 3DS and bought the New 3DS XL in 2018. I love this console and there's no way I'm ever gonna stop playing it. But I definitely miss the Pokemon titles that get added there every couple of years. They should have continued tbh. Somehow I feel like Pokemon Sword would have been a more fleshed out game if they stuck to the 3DS. The game we got for the Switch feels rushed and very bare bones. Don't get me wrong, I still love and enjoy it! But I feel like they definitely could have improved it. And the paid DLC is ridiculous af!

Anyways... back to the 3DS. I love it and wish it still got the love and attention it did before. <3

I sadly broke my 3DS, but I was just playing New Leaf anymore and now with owning the Switch for a year I don't feel a desire to go back. The Switch is a logical step for Nintendo regarding gaming and after (for me) 12 years of dual screen and microphone gimmicks I'm definitely over it. I got a 3DS for New Leaf and I think I've played like six 3DS games in total (which means I've already played more Switch games). I'm more fond of my DS memories, but the games definitely don't hold up graphicswise.

The Switch definitely feels more like an all ages handheld console which I really appreciate, and I think many adult players also appreciate the option to play it stationary. The only thing I miss about the DS is comfortable gameplay while lying in bed. :D

nope when the switch come out and found out about the new animal crossing game i got rid of it

I voted yes because while I still have mine and play it nearly every day, I will miss new games coming out for it. Still have a few that I want to add to the collection, but it?s a dead system now. That makes me sad.

The Switch is currently already my main gaming device. I do miss the 3DS a bit, due to its customization possibilities, streetpass and amazing game catalogue. But yeh, I pick it up now and then to play particular games (like AC), but the Switch is what I use mostly (Zelda, Pokemon, Smash). New Horizons will probably make me forget the 3DS for quite a while. :/

I miss Streetpass! I loved going around my campus and getting passes, and I especially loved it at conventions!

To answer the post, no not really. It was a great system, but onwards and upwards. I haven't regularly played mine in years, its on the shelf where my switch dock will eventually go.
