Pokémon Are you guys excited for New Pokemon Snap?

I was originally, but not anymore. I like the graphics and it does seem interesting but the price is a no go, especially since i am still not sure if the gameplay would be fun enough to keep me hooked.

I'm super excited, but it seems overpriced. I thought it would be like, 40 max. I want it but not enough to pay the full price for it. I'll probably wait until it's on sale or something.

I had the original when I was younger and despite it being a period where I had very few games so played the few I had to absolute death and Pokemon was at its peak hype, even my little stupid kid brain couldn't understand the appeal of it...That and Pokemon Stadium. They just both felt like such 'nothing' experiences.

I would have given it a go to see if my mind would change but not at £60 which I assume it will be. Granted, that's based on how little content the first game had and how little reason I was given to replay it, but I don't see this providing much more either.

I'm definitely excited for it! I've always loved photography, animals, and video games, sooooo...why wouldn't I want this?

Plus I really liked the original Pokémon Snap, so I'm hoping this one will capture my interest as well.

I couldn’t get into the original. I can not justify paying any price for a game where you literally take pictures. I never quite understood the concept of this game. When I think of Pokémon, I think of traveling regions, collecting gym badges, Pokémon battles, etc... With Pokémon Snap, it’s literally just taking pictures. This is a game I just couldn’t get into.

Ahhh, preloaded today!! I'm so ridiculously excited. I can't wait to play it with my daughter. She's about the same age as my youngest sister was when I first played it on N64 so the nostalgia is real, man.

I recently bought it last Saturday, and holy moly, this game is incredible. Maybe gameplay-wise it's okay given that it's just photography, but this game isn't about just taking pictures; you can tell Namco really put so much love into these Pokemon that has been lacking for years in the main entries. Everything from their behaviours, their realistic cries, how great they look, etc. It actually looks amazing and feels real. I'm not that far in yet, but I am really enjoying myself, and I can say that this is probably one of, if not my favourite, my favourite Pokemon experiences; just because they feel like real beings in a safari.

My niece plays it and it's cute, but I can tell it's not for me. I'm obsessed with Pokémon, but I feel like I get enough out of Pokémon Go in the sense of accomplishing things and taking cute pictures of the mons. I can definitely see the entertainment value in the game and wanting to get the best picture of every Pokémon, but the one thing that really stops me from being interested is being driven through the area and having to time everything perfectly. I've played two rounds and it gives me a mobile game vibe.
