the gameplay and trailer made me feel a bit skeptical, i have a lot of questions and concerns about it but i really hope it will be fine. the local multiplayer thing that requires you to use the same tool and be in the same place at the same time is one of the things that makes me feel really skeptical about it.

I'm excited! so glad this is a fresh new start from the ground up. i was really concerned about how they were going to make something new. I don't mind the wait tbh. Only thing i'm worried about is the house system and shop system. I hope we can still buy cool furniture and by the looks of the gameplay it might still be in tact.

I didn't reveal anything exciting. Nothing to make me want to play it again only to end up abandoning the game.

It would need to have some really exciting things for me to invest that amount of time ever again, and all I've seen are how you can control two people, and you need to build everything.

This doesn't fill me with excitement.
It needs to be really special, and have loads of new and interesting things that make me want to say I really want to play that game, and so far, it doesn't.

If moving two people round and collecting wood to build things I'd rather buy is all they could manage to talk about, it makes me wonder why I would want to play it.

Man i am SO excited. I've been playing animal crossing my whole life, so I don't think there will ever be a release I'm not excited about. (Unless maybe one had a crap-tonne of micro-transactions in it).

building the town from scratch, shaping it how u want, is like max customization. it’s been implied that the detail possible in happy home designer yards will now be possible on a townwide scale; if that doesn’t excite u, I’m not quite sure what u were expecting from an ac game?

I was initially disappointed with the art style, but I'm getting more and more excited thinking about all the stuff we'll be able to do now!

It's just a longer route to end up at the same daily grind.

I was hoping for information on new and exciting things.

Maybe a bit of scuba diving, or owning a boat. Something. Anything. But we got nothing more than building for ourselves what was already there in other games.

Also it looks and feels like PC.
I don't play that game and I don't want to invest in a Switch to play a larger version of it.

I'm just waiting for more information, but how I feel about what I've seen is my opinion only.

I love how the island is so barren from what we can see from the gameplay. That just means there's going to be a LOT of customizations. Really cool how there is this one tool to help you jump across the river. You don't see that every day.

It gives me hope that every town can be different. In past games all the towns really looked like one another. This looks like you can create a very different town.

i would say this level of town customization is new but, it?s ur opinion, that?s fair

hopefully future info, possibly from an ac-centric direct sometime in late fall or winter (if i were to guess) will alleviate the skeptics

Skeptical. I watched the direct/treehouse and it's the first time I wasn't excited for a new AC game.
It left me with a lot of questions.

My concern is the Mile Points. Are they Leaf Tickets with pay to play? Loot boxes like Pocket Camp will mean some will not be able to play the game.

I haven't given up hope. I'm just waiting for more info. Like everyone else, and hoping that microtransactions aren't a part of the game as that is the ultimate deal breaker for me.

I'm excited, yet skeptical. I want a direct, though, because I have a lot of questions that I feel like could be answered to put a lot of us at ease.

-Pocket Camp integration?
-How do holidays work?
-Are all of the previous game's items available for us to collect?
-A little more in depth about multiplayer?

When I first saw the game I hated what I saw but it's since grown on me after getting more information through treehouse and interviews not in the direct. I'm very, very excited about decorating my town's exterior for the holidays and seasons.

Looks to be shaping up well, and I'm interested to see what you can do with all the power the game gives you - but I hope the core gameplay loop doesn't change too much, and I hope that it'll still be fun to just chill in a town without much worry of completing objectives. Visiting peoples towns and just chilling out was one of my favourite parts of Wild World (and to a lesser extent, New Leaf).

The Nook Miles thing did worry me at first, but now that I look into it - it just looks like an extension of the old MEOW Coupon system, with a dash of Phineas' Badges. I don't think this game'll have microtransactions, especially with how Nintendo treats its premium titles. Remember that Pocket Camp was a mobile game and is definitely the exception to the rule.

I actually expected the game to get delayed, though. We had no information on the game prior to this. This means that they'd have had to go from initial gameplay reveal to released in under 6 months, and I don't think that's realistic in the slightest. Even New Leaf had over a year from the first gameplay reveal to its release.

I can see me getting a lot of use out of local multiplayer, too - now that I have a younger nephew who occasionally visits. Animal Crossing'd probably be right up his alley.

I?m sooo excited but I don?t have a switch yet lol. I?m probably going to buy one just for this game
