• Guest, can you feel the love in the air? Valentine's Week at The Bell Tree has begun with a new mini-event featuring four activities to enjoy -- new and returning collectibles are up for grabs! Dive in to the love here.

Are you still playing regularly?

No not anymore. I played for two months and dropped it. The fun part for me was the creating an island aspect. Once my island was complete the game was finished for me. I still enjoyed it alot and maybe I will reset my island when I run out of games to play :D

I decided to restart my island about a month ago. I wasn't playing for months before restarting and while it's sad that I lost all of my DIYs and catalog, I'm enjoying playing it a lot more now. Especially since I got a island layout that wasn't double south rivers and a plaza in the middle of my island.

Trying to keep time traveling to a minimum and slowly moving back in all of my old villagers except for Reneigh. Who I decided to swap with Quinn cause I thought she looked cool.

I think about it more than I actually play it, I want to play but I usually don't know what to do so I watch dream tours instead.
You just need to decide on a theme! I chose a "crime-ridden slum" theme and I keep getting new ideas YEARS LATER.

I go through phases. Usually my motivation to play as of right now will only last for a month and then I end up taking extended breaks.

My play time is very inconsistent. Sometimes I would open the game for a bit and not play it again for weeks.

I only open the game whenever I feel like it

I still play frequently, I'm nowhere near a complete catalog, and I still haven't done much of anything to my island design despite having the game since it came out, so I still have lots to do.

Sadly not, I really wish I could play more because I feel like I finally found my favorite villagers and I love seeing them everytime I launch the game, but I just can't get myself to play or build anything really. I did have a big interest spike when the 2.0 update and HHP got released but it withdrew quite fast in my opinion. I suppose working doesn't help since it takes all of my motivation away but I was working when the update came out so that can't really be used as an excuse.
I'd like to play more because AC is my favorite franchise but I feel like NH is just not my type of game.

I’m still playing every day. I restarted my island in March so there’s still a lot of stuff to do and I like to take things slowly. For example I have only recently started to terraform even though I unlocked the function months ago. I’m also aiming to design a home for all 413 villagers and that will keep me busy for a long time.

I've been playing New Horizons daily since it came out, so 29 months and counting at this point. While my play time has definitely dropped off since it first came out, I'm still putting like 15-30 minutes of play time into it daily these days. My main goal has been to basically attain 100% completion (minus villager posters and villager photos), and I'm continuing to inch my way ever so closer towards my goal.

I took about a 8 month break, but I've been back to playing for a few days now. Island hunting to see all of the new villagers, as well as I'm going for a dog island (with Poppy). I've been thinking about doing an island overhaul but it seems like a daunting task.

No, all my files got corrupted. It's ok. I'll be taking a long break from ACNH. I plan on going back, but I may go for one of the older games 🤷

for me it's either I play every day or not at all. I'm currently on a "play every day" phase which might be ending shortly because I'm getting burnt out again due to terraforming. I wish it were easier to do the things I want to do...

I was playing 2-3 weeks ago and I want to get back into it but I really feel that lost momentum. I have to play next month to catch the last fish I need though 😎

I sure am, and I've been doing so since launch. In fact, I see myself playing it even more regularly soon enough, since I'm experimenting with playing lots of video games in short bursts, and I think this game lends itself to that design quite nicely.

honestly, no. i started playing new leaf again and it absolutely made me realize how incomplete and limited new horizons is. i mean, really, how did they think this was okay?

Honestly not much anymore. I used to have some people I played with everyday so once they stopped I lost motivation as well to continue.

I played nearly constantly every day from release day until around November 2020, then I took a big break from around December 2020 to March of this year. Then I took another break to play Minecraft and a few other games, until around when I think I got COVID end of June/early July, and have been playing nearly every day since. That's honestly a bad thing for me, because I have a website that I'm supposed to be working on that never gets any work done because I'm always too enthralled with Animal Crossing!

Yes, I still play daily, and have since the game launched March 20, 2020. I think the most i've missed total (if you add it all up) is a week. I only play about 30 minutes daily now, unless i decide to terraform and redo an area, then I can play a few hours at a time.

I’m not playing as much as I would like. It’s not that the game has bored me or anything like that. It has more to do with the fact that I just don’t have time. I work until 6:30 PM, and then there’s not that much time to play after. I also have a lot of personal projects I’m taking care off (nothing bad, but time consuming). It’s like a lot like second job. In fact, I’m working on it after work, and on the weekends, so it leaves little time for anything else.

It’s a shame really because I was getting ready to finish the islands decoration and then upload a dream address.
