• Guest, can you feel the love in the air? Valentine's Week at The Bell Tree has begun with a new mini-event featuring four activities to enjoy -- new and returning collectibles are up for grabs! Dive in to the love here.

Are you still playing regularly?

I didnt play it very much these days, maybe for a year I didn't play it or more (new horizons.) I played more wild world and new leaf in this time. Maybe can be since I like the music more on new leaf and wild world (new horizons is not bad.) Also I like in new leaf the games on the island, and wild world I like how the characters speak/dialogs and many small challenge to do (like for Saharah) so I wanted to play these bit more these days, but all are nice

No. I like to think about the game and returning to playing, but I don't have attention span for the game at the moment, nor the time. Maybe someday I'll restart one of my islands and start playing again.

If Nintendo released a Switch Pro or something new, it would be a good incentive to start playing again. The Switch is becoming more and more outdated by the day. I would love to see a system capable of running this game with better performance, including 60 FPS or more.

With the reception this game got, maybe Nintendo should create a dedicated Animal Crossing team.

Right now I do. The issue is I'm not very good at decorating my island and making it feel like it's progressing, so I'll lose interest after 2-3 months, put the game down for 2 months then start a new island. I know the whole concept of the game is to be very chill and live day to day but it can easily get repetitive once you've upgraded your house a few times, got your villagers and unlocked terraforming. I feel like there's also a lot less content being created around the game, so I'm not as inspired or excited to play the game as I used to be.
But on a more positive note, I still got over 800h of play out of this game. It's okay if I only pick it up every once in a while.

I don't play regularly but I don't really play much video games these days. I want to but there's just so much going on irl. I've been trying to slow down and play AC slowly to have fun with it but am struggling. I want to design more spots on my island but I can't decide on what to do lol. So I just quit. One day I'll figure it out. It just will take some time.

Sadly I barely play anymore, I accomplished almost everything I wanted and pretty much moved on to others games over time. 😔

Nah, I don't. In fact, my island doesn't even exist anymore. I've pretty much stopped playing life sims altogether and am more interested in other games.

Yes! I took a few big breaks, but I reset my island a few months ago and since then have been actively playing. I think it was the fresh start I needed. c:

My suggestion? Pick a "core" first! With that, you can decide what to do from there. I just finished a pretty keen "Oil Platform!" (The promontory Chad's standing on isn't finished yet.)

That's true. I gotta just slow down and focus on a small chunk to decorate. I'm looking at all the empty spots and it's overwhelming.

That location is so nice! The misty look really adds to it too! Makes it look spooky almost.

My motivation to play comes in bursts. I'll drop it for months and then come back to it and play religiously until that motivation peters off. Lately I've been doing my daily stuff everyday, chatting to my villagers, decorating my island as I order things I need. I want to finish it shortly.

Thank you! I was VERY surprised my idea looked halfway-decent without and fossil fuel related furniture items.;)

I've always played ac in seasons where basically it's all I play for weeks and then I'll go months without playing. I've started playing a bit just this week. I never know how to start with outside decorating but I've cleared an area recently that I'm going to work on soon. Eventually. Probably😅

It's unique too! I don't see many people using those items and it's great. It makes me wanna think outside the box too!

no, and only because the switch seems to struggle to handle my island build. I didn't near finish it but everytime I boot up my island and try to walk around, I just have too much stuff...It lags and my switch fans go into overdrive

I've spent too many hours to reset though haha

Nope, I haven't touched the game in a couple of months. There's a lot of things I still need to do but I just don't have the motivation for it.

I just started a new island. Once that's done, I won't return. At least not for the main game, I'll probably play the DLC every now and then until that's done.

for the moment, yeah!! thinking about changing up the area where my crops are and possibly moving my campsite onto a cliff (where there's more space to decorate). i'm working on the DLC bit by bit and still need to catch the october bugs (idk motivation-wise where i'm at)
i also really want to get photos of some of my faves (notably hornsby, rowan and sly). im awaiting villagers to hit me up via the campsite and/or bubbles over villagers i'd like to leave-

also plan on playing the halloween event coming up 😌

Right now I'm going through a phase of not playing it much, I'll get back to it, I always do, I just need a burst of inspiration and motivation and that will keep me playing for quite some time. Just go through phases of not playing much then phases of playing a lot. Don't play everyday consistently like I used to for the first year and a half it was out.

I'm still working on my second version of my island, so that's really fun! I hope to finish that before the end of the year. After that I will continue to play casually and do my favourite things like fishing :)

Well, if you consider once or twice a week regular, then I do. I’m currently decorating my island for Halloween, designing homes for the Happy Home Paradise, and completing Harv’s Island…so I never run out of things to do lol.
