Same. What's your major?? Mine is studio art.

Library sciences with a minor in professional photography for a backup plan if my major falls through.

lmao what i thought you were my age xD

That's interesting.
Usually people think I'm older than I am.
Why did you think I was your age?

I'm possibly gonna switch schools if I get accepted, so I'd lose my current minor since I'd be switching to an art school. Otherwise, my minor is anthropology.

Anthropology huh? Neat.
I tried one anthro class last semester and it was torture, honestly. Kudos for finding enjoyment in it though.

Wow! This is why I like forums. Doesn't matter if you're 10 or 60, there is no judging (if you are nice XD) Has anyone been left out from our Skype group?

AHHHH there may be some exceptions to that xD

Ahhh yeah, I forgot to reply earlier to the history comment but I'm a history/anthro nerd at heart.
My current college also has a very VERY enthusiastic anthro teacher and she absolutely loves me. If anything, she'll probably be the only teacher I miss.

Currently taking Anthro haha, just the textbooks alone are gonna kill me. Why do we need to buy 4 of them ; ^ ;

Anyway, I'm 18 in my first year of uni studying computer science! *cries as my dreams of studying design float away*

Weird question but, have you guys ever been afraid to call someone your best friend because you don't know how they'd react? I've done it a few times and have received both positive and negative comments from different people I called "best friend" for the first time in the past.

Thought that'd be something to start a convo, so I apologize if it's a weird question ;v;

hmmm for this question I'd say... no? xD;
because for you to call someone your best friend, you must have bonded with them enough to the extent that you'd give them that title;;
personally I don't think I've called anyone my best friend in front of them 8") most of my friends and I myself know deep down how much we value each other, so we don't necessarily need to put it into words for the sake of acknowledgement I guess :3c

It's always great to have a professor who actually likes the students and the class they teach, hahah. Sometimes those are hard to come by.

Oh, really???? My classes have only needed one, maybe two books at the most. But the teachers here use really detailed power points so for the most part, you don't have to read unless it's for an assignment that you have to turn in.

Computer science?? Good luck @.@

Hey, ardrey and Jint. Want to join the skype group we made from the posters in here?

ughh i have this problem; i swear every class i go to asks me to buy like 5 new books and they're all so expensive!!

and (if you don't mind me asking!) how come you chose computer science over design? c:

hahaa I feel, I feel 8")

speaking of textbooks tho... last year I was on a module where the "compulsory textbook" was completely out of print lol xD;
we never used it in class or anything though 8"D makes me wonder why they listed it as compulsory in the first place...

Ahh, I'm glad you have that kind of bond with your friends uvu
Yeah, that's how I feel. Idk it makes me kinda happy to call someone the title once in awhile just so they know I care. I get paranoid sometimes people that don't know that I care x'D

Have you ever bought books and then your teacher is like "OH NEVERMIND, I FOUND IT ONLINE/IN THE SCHOOL LIBRARY" after you bought the book? It's happened to me too many times to count and it's not like you can sell the book back for the same price you bought it.

I don't even bother with text books usually. I just find digital versions online that are free and download them.

By the way y'all, I got curious and counted. 831 posts til 2468

i actually haveeee;
there's a textbook compulsory for all my classes (Raven's Biology it's huge) and it was ?70 (~$108)!
then soon after i bought it uni told me that they were releasing the ebook online for free and that we didn't have to buy a hard copy anymore.
luckily i only had it a few days, and the shop i bought it from very kindly let me return it haha, otherwise i'd be devastated

Ahh, that's nice for them to do!! I usually have to get mine from like, amazon...rip.
I think the most expensive book I had was for a biology class and it was like, a little over $200??? WE DIDN'T EVEN USE IT...HIS POWER POINTS WERE TOO DETAILED but my grandma wouldn't let me return the book early. We didn't have in book assignments either so it was just left to rot in the corner of my room B')

Lol, there's these maths books that are like 60, got one off ebay for 5 XD
