Okay Zulehan. What would YOU do in a zombie apocalypse? Would you try to survive? Or would it even be worth the hassle?
Hi, Lockfancy.
I have no clue how I would actually react, and I doubt anyone knows how they would react, until this sort of thing actually happens. Maybe I would be frozen in my tracks, maybe it would turn out I am actually far more cutthroat and lone-wolf than I realized. Maybe I would resort to the horrible atrocities I see some people commit in the movies. Maybe I would commit suicide right away. I can present the theory or ideal of what I would do, but with the understanding of how complex and unknown the actual situation would be, and how that means everything planned would likely turn out far different.
In regards to how I would react: depends. Are the zombies sprinters like in
Apocalypse No Torid? Are there different versions of them, like the ones who resemble dogs and have the intelligence necessary to lead people into traps? Are they able to carry weapons and work in groups like in
The Evil Within and
Land of the Dead? Can they form a giant mountain of corpses in a matter of seconds like in World War Z (film)? Are there 'boss' versions for me to fight that hold giant maces like in Resident Evil 4? Are they the more 'realistic' spore-parasitic flowering corpses of
Last of Us? How does society look like? Is there still a semblance of the government, society, and military like in
World War Z and
Last of Us? Is there barely anyone left?
Anyways, I would not see the point in carrying on alone. I would want to convince others to work with me, secure a place that provides guns, foods, or supplies, or preferably all three (I am thinking of Walmart). There are plenty of military vehicles in an unguarded warehouse/parking lot nearby, and an armored APC might not be a bad idea. Would be good to have a mechanic who knows how to work one, though. Would also be good to secure doctors, electricians, city planners — people with applied and intellectual skills. We need to create a group identity and draw up a purpose. I like the idealistic model of the Fireflies in
Last of Us: a paramilitary unit with a message of hope, but balanced with a more practical related goal: using the brain surgeons they secured to find a cure through the dissection of volunteer survivors of infection. We need a local power source. We need running water. We need, we need, we need....
Heh, man, I feel funny even theorizing.
