Back after 2 years, what's new?

Yeah, no one really uses the system time for time travel. It messes with any other realtime-based games, and also breaks the activity log. It's also a lot slower because you have to exit the game as well as restart the system afterwards.

The worst part about that method is getting back to the real date if you're a dummy like me. You can apparently TT forward an infinite distance on the same day you stop someone from moving (Julian in my case) but I had already saved and skipped a few days before I realized. Took forever to get Cobb to ping so I could move back to this year

I actually think you can even stop a villager from moving if they previously pinged you and you okayed the move. The only time it's too late is if they're in boxes.

wow i feel like a **** now.
i know it's impossible to use that method using only the in game based clock, which was what i assumed you were using.
sorry about that, but hey, thanks for shedding some light on the ability to save a villager using the ds based clock. that's really useful.

No worries! Sorry you lost Rasher. I don't think I would have ever started playing again if I couldn't save Julian. I have a lot of sentimental attachment to my villagers and my town. Losing Whitney was a huge blow, but fortunately, my boyfriend picked her up from the void, so at least I could still visit her in his town.

I stuck my 2014 stickers on my laptop :D I really like the badge sticker

I have another leaf sticker on my 3DS. It's held up really well to wear and tear over the last 2 years!

Welcome back! Now I don't know if it's because I'm still pretty new to the forums but I feel like there's still a lot of people actually playing the game :)
