BEWARE OF THE NEW HDLC.

Too bad stupid people will get it and not tell you, and then you will have it in your game data. =/
I actually dont care if they have it or not. It's their choice to have it and if they're my friends im not going to flip out over some game data.

OMG COULD THEY MAKE THE CRAYON ANY BIGGER????????????????????????????!!!!!!! ITS HUGE...ITS LIFE THREATENING!!!! >:) i want it

GOsh you people dont understand how much this ruins so many games!
hacked items don't really ruin the game, it's duplicating crap that ruins the game >_<
Um, yes it does.
It prevents you from receiving certain DLC from Nintendo.
Then how did i get DLC from Nintendo?

Well, I said certain DLC. The HDLC takes up an empty code made for official DLC. So if Nintendo happens to release DLC that uses the same code as the HDLC does, you won't get it.

An example:
Let's pretend that the code for the Blue Pikmin Hat was meant for the Shamrock Hat. If you happen to receive Blue Pikmin Hat code before the Shamrock Hat code, you will see the Shamrock Hat as the Blue Pikmin Hat but your friend will see you wearing a Shamrock Hat, provided that your friend is not infected with the code. You get infected by just going Wi-Fi with someone who has the code and you don't have to come in contact with the HDLC.

Ok but has that theory even been proven?
Yes, but they argue that it's safe because there's a minimal chance that Nintendo will release a DLC that has the same code for HDLC since there are only 256 slots allotted for DLC and there are thousands of codes in the game.

I'm curious as to who proved this theory
If you find out, tell me.
But something tells me that the maker of the HDLC is somehow associated with some of the people who provided the information.

How can you say it is proven if you dont know who proved it? If you are going to insist that this stuff ruins games and the possibility of getting DLC, you should back it up with some fact.

Well, the credits of that site I sent you said that someone did some code testing. I guess that's proof, but a really, really weak one.

seriously you [bad, nooby, stupid hackers. not all are] Hackers! gosh now i have to clean that code up >:O

How the heck do you clean the code up?

The big axes are the biggest waste of DLC space ever.
The crayons aren't so bad, but why 2? And why must everything be an axe? I'd rather have a crayon fishing pole.

lol thats good
Lol, I find it funny that you find the possibility of not receiving future DLC from Nintendo "good".
It would only prevent you from getting future DLC from Nintendo if you get one of the HDLC items and then later Nintendo releases an item with the same catalog hex address as the HDLC you already have.

Look, I'm careful not to get any HDLC, and I think the hacked items I've seen so far are fairly obvious (with the exception of the blue pikmin hat... man they did a good job on that one)

It's good to know which items are hacked and which are not, but from what I hear about the number of available hex addy's, the odds are low that you'll ever screw yourself out of a future item by getting a hacked one.

WHAT!? What items? Cause I think I got infected with HDLC from my friend's friend's friend. Where my friend saw his friend's friend with a lightsaber. Just saw but unfortunately that's all that is required

I'm a hacker, and I found out this a few days ago, so I'll get it from the owner!
NO! :throwingrottenapples:
Don't even try to spread this nasty HDLC around the internet, it's stupid and a waste of space.

why has nintendo not done a thing to try and stop this?
why should Nintendo?? It's not like anyone's forcing you to catalog hacked items. Look, if Nintendo wanted to punish the hackers out there, it would just release more ACTUAL DLC, taking up the slots that the hackers are using for their items.
