Blue Balloon vs Light Blue Balloon

(please make bunny balloons)

Just a concept but like ???

Thanks Tea for making the concept. That's exactly what I was thinking!

they are a little too similiar for my taste tbh :/ a little lighter/darker or a different color would have been better. but im probably still gonna buy the light blue balloon because i dont have a blue balloon at all

This was a joke and not serious

That's true, it's a great alternative if you don't already have a blue. It's like ACNL when you're buying the fake cheaper art piece

Edit: A couple of people have seemed to misunderstand what I was saying here :(

It's like ACNL when you're buying the fake cheaper art piece.
I was referring to the act of buying fake paintings. From memory, they were both "fake" and "cheaper" then the real piece. Those words were used to describe the ACNL paintings. Fake because they're made to look similar. Cheaper because they were usually cheaper than the real deals. For instance, the light blue balloon is similar to the blue but is not the same and it's technically cheaper than the blue. Again, these words weren't meant as an insult to the art in the game or the light balloons.

Example:

While both these photos are equally good, there's an obvious difference between the two. Someone unaware could easily mix the two up. When I was referring to the balloon I meant that they were similar like this and not less in quality. I understand that those words sound a bit harsh but please do not take what I said out of context. If I was referring to real counterfeit art, "being rude" would make sense, however, I was talking about Animal crossing.

You'd think that an Animal crossing community would understand that but then again there seems to be a select part of TBT that thinks they got to always take the moral high ground. Nobody is allowed to make jokes because they'll tear it apart and rip the context right out of it.

Anyways, thanks for listening to my explanation and I hope this clarifies this whole misunderstanding. :)

they're similar as they're both blue but i can see a difference, if i already had a blue balloon there wouldn't be a question i'd get orange but it will be good for people who don't have blue already and can't afford the normal blue on in the shop

remember the last few threads that went around about the balloon redesign where people were making really hurtful critical statements and we all talked about how there are ways to give constructive criticism to mods and artwork WITHOUT sounding rude....

its a really good read

I agree the balloons are very similar, enough for me to definitely not want one of each, but I can say that with out comparing it to a "fake cheaper art piece"

I was making a joke about the painting in animal crossing. Similar not the same. I apologise if it sounded mean or rude

I agree now in hindsight, I can assure you that's not what I meant.

Updated my post with some more clarification so this doesn't turn out like the other thread. Please remember that while I do not like the balloons myself, that's just my opinion. Again, apologies if it came out as rude, please understand that half my posts here have been satire. I know it's no excuse but I thought that this thread was a joke thread after reading the OP.

Also for the people that clearly understood what I meant and decided to make a big deal out of it should just stop. Twisting other people's intentions to make yourself look morally right is just wrong. I think if anything is rude, that would be it.

Anyways, thanks for taking the time to read and I can assure you all that I won't do it again.

Intent, inflection, and sarcasm is extremely hard to read over the internet

Also if you’re trying to compare this to ACNL, the “fake cheaper art pieces” are there to trick and deceive players, which I think we would all agree is a negative thing. So to compare getting a light blue balloon to something put into a game to trick someone is putting it in a negative light for the person who made the collectible and may like it.

See I can twist context to fuel my own opinionated agenda too. Moral of the story, sarcasm and jokes on the internet may not land. It’s better to apologize and take responsibility than try to justify a bad joke. Also in your justification you continued to make fun of users by making snide comments about “not taking the joke.” I can clearly take a joke, give them out, but also take responsibility should it not go the way I intended. You can’t tell people they are wrong for interpreting your bad “joke” or “sarcasm” when they have a point.

Once again we have a prime example of a user taking advantage of someone's post and completely twisting it. "trick and deceive players" is your way of reading it, you put your own spin on my example to try and add your own meaning to my words. I could have been saying that the fake art in animal crossing is gorgeous and that I think the balloons are the same. You on the other hand only ASSUMED I meant the worst (assume making a** out of you and me) I could also just as easily say that your comment is calling me stupid just by changing a couple of meanings here and there. You should apologize for calling me stupid!

Justifying what I said was my only saving grace against users that like yourself that pleasure themselves with ruining someone's reputation. I've already apologized a couple of times for the misunderstanding and not being clear but why exactly should I be made to apologize for the way you saw it. If anything, you should be apologizing to me for taking it out of context and putting words in my mouth.
