i prefer texting. with a text, you can plan out what you say before you send it, but with calls there is alot more you have to take into consideration. regardless, i dont mind calling.

choosing between these two options is so hard omg because on one hand, i get super nervous and i struggle to express my thoughts into words, but on the other hand, i feel like there's a potential to lose a lot of context when writing/reading written messages, which is why i love using emojis/emoticons to help with that. overall maybe i think i prefer text? because it gives me more time to process and think up a response. i honestly don't even answer my phone if it's a number i don't recognize LOL so texting it is!

Texting by far.

When I'm taking a call, I have to answer questions right there, and I have some issues with my memory function so I'll often either forget to include something important in my answer, or I'll flat out not be able to think quick enough. Then there's the possibility that I can't hear them very well for whatever reason, so I'll need it to be repeated (and a lot of people do NOT like being asked to repeat themselves, I find). At least with texting, I can think about my response and better explain my thoughts to someone.

i prefer texting. i'm a fan of using emojis in messages and there's also however much time i'd like to write stuff i want to say. i don't usually pick up my phone if it's a number that's not in my contacts (unless it's to do with an interview or something which is chill)

I actually really enjoy calling. I like to hear the other person's voice, hear them laugh, hear their octaves change when they're excited or annoyed. I like the connection.

But I can get exhausted fast from calls too and they can only last 1-2 hours till I run out of things to say.

Texting.

I only like talking on the phone if it is quick.

Neither.

Just kidding, I actually don't mind either. Texting is obviously the go to when it comes to communication these days and it's easier and quicker than a call. However in a phone call you can read a person better when it comes to the conversation in question whereas in a text it can be the opposite which can sometimes lead to a bit of anxiety, especially if that person doesn't respond for a while.

Texting for sure. I never call to be honest unless it's very urgent or like one of my family members. Those are pretty rare, though. Texting is much easier for me and I find that I'm able to express myself way better than if I was calling. I find that I struggle to articulate myself a lot and end up missing things I wanted to say.

Just like everyone else I like to text because it's more convenient for me. I can reply when I can and is less time-consuming then calling. Calling I'd have to set a whole slot of time aside just dedicated to that. I also have a time period for when I like to be bothered: 6am-6pm 😭

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with phone call anxiety! I definitely prefer texting, unless it's someone I have to speak to, e.g. doctor, etc. Even with that I get anxious waiting on their call. I usually have to have a pre prepared list ready in front of me of what I want to say.

I’m most likely going to text, I don’t have any irl friends but if I did, I’d do that.

If it were my mother or siblings when I need to, I’ll call.

Texting, it's a whole lot better than talking and you can edit your message before you send.

However, don't mind talking on the phone.

Text.

My anxiety goes through the roof when someone calls, or whenever I need to call someone.

It's less anxiety-inducing for me to speak to someone on the phone if it's regarding something professional i.e about an appointment, with texting i procrastinate more and take my time so i can put that kinda thing on hold indefinitely if im not careful, but overall texting is way less draining

In public, texting. I don't want everyone to hear my conversation. Anywhere else, like at home, calling, because it's easier and you get a response quicker.
