Justin indicates on animalcrossingworld.com that the CDN price is $6.99 per pack, which is at odds with what's at the link you posted. Not sure whether it's a discrepancy or a different source or what.

So far, all the Canadian sites listing HHD for preorder are showing prices around $42.99 or so, but this could be a placeholder price in the absence of any set pricing up till now. It surprises me greatly that the cost is so high, given that AC:NL was around $34.99 new.

I'm most disappointed that no hardware bundles are being offered.

Well. No I was just sent a press release in French fron the responsible of media comm. in Qu?bec. 6,99$ it is.

$6.99 is a disgusting price for Canada. Not impressed.

Might still buy one pack though dammit nintendo

edit: any news on the nfc reader bundle? .-.

None. I'm losing hope, given that there was no mention of it today in their update. I just tweeted at them, asking them to confirm or deny.

ETA: the NFC reader bundle is listed for preorder on a couple of sites, but no word on the limited-edition HHD 3DSXL. :(

Yes, the cards are $6.99 here, I have a contact at Nintendo of Canada. The NFC Bundle is coming here as well for the price of $59.99, and the NFC Reader standalone will be $24.99 here. Hope that helps! :)

Worth pointing out that we're far from getting ripped off on the cards, it's actually cheaper than the US price right now. With the current failing exchange rate, they could easily be $7.99 and be a fair price!

On the other hand... the Mega Yarn Yoshi amiibo is $59.99 here... now THAT is a disgusting price!!

And yeah, I'm starting to wonder what's up with the bundle here, I had good reason to believe it was coming out. It's strange that it wouldn't be announced for today's release, with only a month until release day.

59,99 $ for the Mega Green yarn Yoshi is uh... too much. Way too much.

6.99 is cheaper than what I paid to get the cards from Play-Asia (not including shipping and customs x_x), so I'm happy with the price.

i agree ; A ;
nintendo is going to take all my money

Does anyone know when/where the NFC bundle will be available? I can't find it anywhere ;A; Is it not for pre-order?

Tacking myself on here to mention that:
- all Best Buys in malls in Canada are apparently opening at 8 a.m. on Sept 25th (per a little red notice at the very top of their webpage)
- a number of EB Games locations are opening at 9 a.m. (you might want to check your local store, but the one at which I preordered just called to tell me [they typically open at 10 and up till yesterday thought they were opening at 10, but at that time advised that their flagship store just up the street was opening at 9])

Field report:
Have hit 2 stores so far (1 EB and 1 BestBuy). Both were limiting card purchases to 3 packs per customer. EB had 4 booster boxes, but one box was all for pre-orders. The giant Best Buy received only 1 box, which was entirely gone when I got there.

The flagship EB Games in downtown Toronto has no amiibo cards at all. Loads of games and NFC bundles, but no cards.

Big Toys R Us in west end: none. They didn't get a shipment.

Walmart in same mall as Toys R: Didn't realize game was releasing today. They had 2 booster boxes in their unopened shipment. Girl had no idea what they were. I told her to limit sales to 3 packs per person.

EB in same mall as above: Had 2 booster boxes; let me buy 4 packs.
