At this point it's moot, but my hope would just be that they're either eliminated by then via maf kill or vote, or have been active enough to have provided some value. I will say, having slept on it, I'm understanding the value in a day-1 vote a bit more now. Still a little squeamish about it just cuz of the numbers, but I get where people are coming from.

Re: the first bit
So far, no one has acknowledged the presence of there being any special roles except for your implying that your role interacts with the daily power-vote. If there is such a role, that would be decently unique which is a little ehh. I'm trying to see if anyone's implied a role-ability that they can play and how they'll play it but am not seeing anything yet. (again though, can be ok for night 1 cuz no special ppl want to be targeted)

I was with her strategy tbh! didn't see the benefit of voting to eliminate anyone at the time (including inactives) cuz of the liklihood we'd be voting out a townie, but think(?) I'm starting to get where people are coming from. Still a little uneasy though.
Overall my lean on Tessa is just slightly town. I kinda like how she's sus of me despite my relatively neutral-positive read on her, it feels pretty classicly day-1 townie (hopefully not enough to vote to eliminate me tonight tho pls). Tessa was fairly quick to put in her votes/pick a side, which she did do in baby park when she was maf, but that could also just be a tess thing (ppl who've played with her in other games can clarify if this is actually the case or not).

For me, I tend to find the waiting to vote action having a mafia lean, just because: for a townie, we've got no info, so if we wait on day 1, we're literally just waiting to make sure the votes favour our abstract susses. For a Maf, especially for a vote that's as split as it is currently, them getting the last vote allows them to nail down a townie being killed or a maf getting the power.
That being said, I do like waiting till the end of the day to vote just so we've had a full day-1 conversation. What I might end up doing is waiting until close to the end to put my votes in, and just undoing whatever the next-last voter does so we don't risk a mafia deciding who dies and who gets the power night 1 (which might result in no one getting the power though and no one dying).
Still undecided on how I want to play the voting game in terms of for who and with what timing. If people have any advising they'd like to impart, lmk!
Here's my thing, and also why, if you (general "you" not you in specific, betsy) put a gun to my head rn and asked me who the maf were, I'd say Dan and Betsy. Disclaimer, it's super early for hard and fast claims, so take this very lightly. It's very much a: if I was forced to choose right now, how it'd go.
Imo, Dan's been treating Betsy in her "pre-role-knowledge" era a bit too positively, and my guess is that that comes from Dan being maf and knowing that his fellow maf was the person Betsy subbed for, and Dan then assumed that Betsy would absorb their maf role and be on his team so would benefit from painting her in a good light. Then there's my overall read on Dan (which, again, could just be how he plays but strikes me as slightly maf-ish). Then there's also the fact that now, having knowledge of her role, Betsy is still relatively forgiving of Dan, and didn't aknowledge how he treated her pre-role-knowledge as a disclaimer. Looking at votes now, Dan voted to give Betsy the power (without really doing substantial new reads on people after the whole no-role-knowledge fiasco), and Betsy's currently waiting to vote, which, for the reasons I mentioned earlier, gives a slight maf lean. (though, I'm also waiting to vote atm). TL
R Betsy + Dan possible maf partners.What throws this theory away is if Dan was a mason or something (if there are masons).
This is a relatively huge stretch, but my rationale for if I *had* to make a decision this instant. Am fully ok with it being swayed though between now and the vote (why I'm waiting for the vote).
Dolby I'm still a little unsure of. It was certainly a very forward first post, but I can also appreciate wanting to hit the ground running after coming into a game late. I posed some questions to him earlier in this post so hopefully that clarifies my train of thought a bit regarding him.

Ok yeah, Tessa has the strongest town lean for me so far.
Her voting for Frosty to get the power follows my whole: "mafia have more reason than townies to wait to vote" thing, and tessa also did the power vote first, waiting just a bit more on her eliminate vote which is in line with her previous inclination to maybe not wanting to vote someone out night 1 just yet.
Very consistent behaviour and very lacking of potentially maf-leaning stuffs

Am a little curious about Frosty's defending of Dan but also it feels pretty ok to take the other side of the majority to see if you can glean more info (as I've done before). Will be curious to see how Frosty votes and how their stance on people is maintained or changed going forwards.

As someone a bit newer to this, what do you mean by sets and terms and randings? Would the item codes be enough for veterans to deduce what they are?

oH i meant just go to a randomizer and give me random numbers 1-5 and based on that randomization, that will be the order that I will give the items. lol So there is no bias in me giving out items.
For example, I dont want to be biased about giving certain item this day because it will be given to mafia. or it will be given to a townie. I want full disclosure that everything (all items) are given at random.

I do most of my posts "live" if that makes sense. My thought process takes better shape as I type things up. I didn't consider the voting-logic bit I gave and how that ties into tessa being town until further on in the post, so that's why her town lean strengthens a bit at the end (the beginning analysis on her didn't take that into account). 100% though, this is day 1, so none of my reads are super set or anything. But like the "gun to my head" thing, if you put a gun to my head and asked me to pick a townie, I'd pick tessa rn
So Kiko, Dan thinks that Betsy is town bc he thinks that there’s no way Bianca would forget to give a role PM to mafia, but I don’t think Dan is towny anyway, so have at it
