Choose Your Own Adventure!

Well, I'm going with Bliss's. Makes more sense to me.

Make a makeshift baby carrier.

You should do something to keep you occupied. Also, seems pretty easy to you. You get started on the carrier right away. After half an hour, you get it just right. Now, there's less strain on your hands. But, what to do now? You decide to take a walk. With the new sling, you tuck the baby in and walk around, peering into homes as you go. You wonder why there's no one around, but then, you hear a bloodcurdling scream of a woman. You shudder, and then think:

Ignore or help?

Ignore

You know it's morally wrong, but you have a baby with you. Chances are, you won't be able to escape whatever caused the woman to scream. You pick up the pace, and just as you are getting close to this rather large home, you see a shiny substance on the floor, leading into the large home. You hear more screams behind you.

Do you: Head into the house or take your chances and run out of the village?

Ignore

you have a baby to take care of now, you need to be carful, it may be a trap. You feel fur brush you and you pull out your sword (bet most of you forgot we had a sword) just to see fluffy, you sigh. You decide to walk around the island for a bit, as your walking you notice a ladder but you don't know where it goes to

Do you: Climb the ladder OR keep exploring

LOL aww. I didn't even know there was a sword, lol.

(I chose to start back from SummerBliss', I thought Fluffy was dead?...)
Head into the house.
You are wondering what the shiny substance is, and though it is probably against your better judgement to enter the house, you are really curious. Besides, if something follows you into the house, maybe you can find somewhere to hide? You might as well be running around in circles, outside. 'Maybe there hasn't been anyone living here for a while', you think, 'maybe I can find some really useful stuff'.

You step around the shiny substance and go through the door. Holy mackerel! For a large island hut, this is pretty extensive, and impressive! You can see numerous rooms, and even a ladder to a second floor. You shut the door behind you, and it blocks the screams out quite a bit.

Looking down, you see that the shiny substance is coming from a broken orb, an orb that looks very similar to the one you had broken previously. This one was down for the count though -- no monsters or anything coming from this one. It looked lifeless, and you feel at ease. You're wondering what happened here, but really, you doubted you'd find out. The baby starts crying, it seems she wants your attention.

Do you: Play with the baby, or investigate the rooms?

Investigate the rooms

You know you should probably quiet down the baby, but you can't help but explore this majestic hut. Plus, you might actually find something to keep the baby entertained. You begin walking towards the first room and take notice of it's extraordinary interior. You look around, but due to the darkness, can't make out anything useful. You continue towards the next room when you hear a scratching noise on the entrance door.

Scared out of your mind, you quickly dive into the room. The scratching noise ceases, but the baby's wails sends a chill up your spine. You look around, using your hands as a guide until you come across a bed. You remove the baby from the carrier and place her/him on it. You take notice of this rather large closet in the corner of the room. You look at yourself and mumble it would be nice to have a change of clothes. The baby finally settles down. As soon as you breathe a sigh of relief, you hear a blood-curdling scream coming from outside the house. Along with the scream are snarls and clawing. Suddenly, you hear the snarls get louder as they are trying to get inside the hut. 'Oh no...' You are shaking and unsure of what to do next. You can easily run and search for a weapon, but leave the baby behind or you hide in the closet with the child.

Do you: Ditch the baby or hide?

Hide.

You quickly hop into the closet and gently place the baby on its' wooden floor. Urgently, you close the doors. The noises keep on getting louder, and the baby begins to wail. As attention is brought to you, you can hear the noises getting closer and closer.

Do you: leave the baby in the closet and escape or try to calm down the child?

You attempt to calm down the child.
With no pacifier nearby, you decide to stick your pinky finger in the child's mouth. She sucks on it happily; you commend yourself for the alternative pacifier option.
With the baby no longer crying, you keep quiet as best as possible. You wait for a long time; probably almost half a day in the closet. Whatever it was out there has moved on, you're sure of it. You step out of the closet and sling the (now sleeping) baby onto your back with a curtain you found in the closet. You decide that staying in the room isn't a safe option, so now's the time to get going.
You open the door to view the other rooms.
Do you: retreat into the hut farther, or go outside?
