I was just coming here to post that same question about candy. I took a pic of an actual red candy, one un-edited pic and one pic that I had to up the brightness. The OP doesn't exactly say no edited pics, so I assume the one that I upped the brightness won't count. I did that cause my phone takes wonky pics and distorts colours. It looks a red/maroon colour in the unedited pic, but it clearly red in the edited pic.

Basically my question is, if I upped the brightness does that count as an edited pic? So then I should submit the unedited pic even if it wonks colours a bit.


I actually found 4 out 5 already that I think are pretty close. I can't find my actual winter mitts rn, so I found my fingerless gloves but they're are blue.

I’m so dumb, I only realized it was a pearl when you said it. I had the mindset that I couldn’t do the birthstone because I didn’t have any shiny gemstones, but now that you mentioned it I actually do have pearl earrings on my table.

I had to read back and see what stone June was, on looks alone I thought it was oraclaridium. Which I don't have. I think dizzy chose pearl on purpose because out of all the gemstones, pearl and diamond are the most common. Diamond is more expensive thou, pearl is relatively cheap enough. Plus, there is no mistaking a Pearl. Diamonds on the other hand can be mistaken. Zircons are a common replacement for Diamonds and look nearly the same. Topaz also can look like diamonds.

For those who have already submitted their entries, I will go through them now as well and accept them by replying to you in the thread. Just gonna post this here as well as the FAQ:

I won't be answering every single "can I use this ______ as a ______?" question. Although I ask that you use your own judgement on these, I may disagree with some of your choices if I feel it's too off. However, you may post more scavenged items in your submission thread after the fact if I do not accept a particular photo! Just do not edit your original post as that gets confusing for me to keep track of submissions. You can also post more than 5 if you are not sure that one of them will work.
