Noo balloon pop and 5 star island sold out on me. Darn it. Next release or I will order from Ulta.

Is 5 star island the pink shadow palette? I almost got that one but realized I would get more use out of What a Hoot since I'm not huge on makeup but knew I couldn't miss this release. Probably going to grab Balloon Pop next release too, if I find I get my use out of the other stuff I ordered.

Well apparently I was super busy *****ing out that I didn't realize i also missed out on the Labelle one. Bummer! Yes the 5 star island is the pink set. I got the ones I wanted the most but I was really digging the idea of the yellow in the 5 star island and that beautiful light purple shimmer "able sisters" in Labelle of the ball.

Got Pick of the bunch lip tint kit. It seems like there is going to be a restock for those who missed it, but i dont think i am gonna pick another kit.

Unfortunately I missed it However, I tried to buy the What a Hoot palette and one of the lip kits from etsy, but the seller’s account “mysteriously was disabled”
I was offered a refund, but it still hasn’t been issued
This does give me a chance to spend my money on 2 palettes instead, because i realized that the lip colours won’t really look nice on me.

I was seriously thinking about messaging them, but I already messaged them freaked out that they were going to cancel my order because my auto fill put my dad's name for the credit card and obviously that wasn't going to be a match. Plus when I received my confirmation, it said something about how they were experiencing a high volume of orders and it may take additional time to ship.

I got it early! Had to wait all day to get off work, spend time with my mom (I have everything shipped to my parents house so no one snatches my packages) and get home. Love the stone cold fox and thats taupe palette like in total love so glad I bought them. Waiting for the lip oil to set in to see if I develop a fever blister (should know by morning) unimpressed there but whatever. The What A Hoot palette is well my least favorite of my purchases. It's ok but really only one color (the dark matte one) is the only one I really like at least on my arm. The Nook Inc palette is making me buy the others. I have never used these colors before so it is going to be fun and the colors are so beautiful! I will admit in some of the palettes (thats taupe, stone cold fox and what a hoot) there is a shadow or two (one in what a hoot) where pigmentation and glide wasn't what I'm used to from colourpop but should build easily and aren't colors I see myself using a lot so I'm not all that disappointed. I have multi colored stripes up both arms lol. Oh the Flower Power blush is gorgeous and I will be wearing that tomorrow for sure. The glitter in Nook Inc has stolen my heart. Its in the crease of my arm so a lot of the bigger pieces of glitter have shifted and the color/shimmer underneath is gorgeous with or without the bigger pieces. I think it is my favorite in all the palettes I have.

I got my package yesterday!
I got the flower tender blush which looks so good and the packaging is soooo adorable... I'll keep the unit carton.
I also got the 5 star island palette (the isabelle one) because I loved that whole vanilla/strawberry icecream color scheme.... yet when I received it I let out an audible gasp when seeing the size, I don't know what I was excpecting but it was definitely not that It's so small! The blush is bigger than the palette! It still looks good though but it shocked me lol. I'm not gonna test it right now because my eyes are a bit sick and two out of the four shades are not eye safe.

I really want some but I’m hesitant because I’m not crazy about glittery eyeshadow and it looks like all of the palettes have them. I’ve never worn blush or any lip products now so I probably am going to pass on them.

All the palettes do have glitter shadows which is disappointing I mean it makes me feel a bit better about not buying them because I didn’t want to deal with shipping & duties but it’s definitely a bummer. I don’t understand adding non-eyesafe glitters/shadows to eyeshadow palettes

When a product states that any pressed pigments and glitter eyeshadows aren't eye-safe it is because they are using ingredients that are specifically not approved as eye-safe by the United States FDA. However, these ingredients are approved in the EU which is why cosmetics brands use them in their formulas.

Often you'll find that if an ingredient has not been deemed eye-safe by the FDA it is because it can cause temporary staining or has the potential to cause corneal irritation and damage* if it makes direct contact with the eye. The latter is what applies to glitters and the American Academy of Optometry's guidance on this is simply to be careful with them. Essentially you will be fine if you do not use them too closely to your lash line (and completely avoid application to inner corner and waterline). It's always good to test glitter eyeshadows for fallout before using them - if it's hard to control where the product is landing then it's better to avoid using anywhere near the eyes at all.

*I'm currently writing a paper on one of the more severe infections that can be caused by this. Not fun stuff. Take care of your eyeballs!

I rarely wear glitter but I’ve always been told to put down some kind of glue or base because it will move around too much otherwise. That’s usually for more chunky glitter, but glitter as a rule gets everywhere so I’m not sure why anyone ever thought putting that in a product that goes on your eyelid would go well

Yessss my sister is super hype about this. But for me, since I haven't been really into make up lately due to covid and me not going anywhere, I feel like my interest in make up has diminished a lot. I use to love buying a bunch of shades of everything and a wide variety of products, but I'm not really interested in doing that anymore. Now I'm into more of the "natural glow" style and while I still wear making up going out for like work and stuff, its all neutral and no colors. I still love doing my eyeliner in the "wing" style (been doing that since 8th grade lol) and wearing mascara, but for eyeshadow I've been going for more natural minimalist tones lately instead of bold colors. And since I already own the eyeshadow colors I like, I'm not sure I'll buy any of these products because I will likely not use them, even though they are super cute!!!

This collection is super cute but I saw a swatch video by a beauty YouTuber that I really like, and the eyeshadows look a bit patchy and had a ton of fall out?? This disappointed me a bit... and I think I might just pass the eyeshadows since the color story is also very much out of my comfort zone ( when I do eye makeup I basically only wear neutral colors or muted colorful shadows) the lip products looks really nice though and so are the blushes. I’m really tempted to get them but at the same time I’m stuck at home everyday and leaving the house everywhere requires face mask so I’m questioning what is even the point of wearing makeup when nobody can see it and by end of the day it just get smeared all over the face mask lol....
