Controversial food opinions?

Soda is gross. Any kind of bubbles do not belong in drinks.

Cilantro is yummy. (Some people I know say it tastes like soap.)

Bragging about how much spice you can eat isn’t a flex…we just have different tolerances.

I eat meat, but draw the line at lamb and veal— bc baby.

Dark chocolate is better than milk chocolate. Even raw baking chocolate is better. That raw cacao taste is amazing!

Cinnamon rolls are a tastier and more indulgent treat than donuts. (Still like donuts, though.)

I don't really care for ice cream cake. Sorry, I don't!

Donuts are good, but fresh cinnamon rolls hot out of the oven can't be beat.

Pumpkins are usually a no- I’d rather bite into a lemon than eat a p-pie

Sodas are a bit overrated, why would I want to deal with a bunch of fizzing in my mouth for a “cool refreshing drink?” I only drink it on occasion/rare and even then it’s usually lemonade

Eating isn’t a sport. It’s a thing we have to do to survive

  • I love white chocolates because they're the most underrated type of chocolate.
  • Twinkies aren't that good tasting and worth the hype. I don't truly understand the hype behind Twinkies and even after tasting one, I still don't get it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I've yet to find a gourmet/upscale burger that was better than fast food.
This is so real. I would take In N Out any day for a great burger. Also Five Guys, and Culver's.

My controversial opinion is that I can not eat plain scrambled eggs. They have to have, at the bare minimum, ketchup on them. If available, I'll also add salt, pepper, and hot sauce, preferably siracha. But no ketchup? Then I will not be eating those scrambled eggs.

My controversial opinion probably is that I don’t like cake or ice cream. Even aa a kid, I didn’t like either and when I won a raffle in school for ice cream they let me have fruit instead.

I have a ton lol
  • Hamburgers and hot dogs are disgusting, even if they are plant based
  • Most meatballs are disgusting
  • Lettuce is disgusting and has a horrible taste
  • Nuts in their crunchy form rarely ever belong in desserts. I’m not allergic I just hate biting into a nice carrot cake and being met with those dastardly glorified rocks.
  • Onions are extremely disgusting
  • Mixed meats (land animals) are disgusting, but mixed seafood is great
  • Pizza cut into squares is less appetizing.
  • Diced tomatoes on pizza are very gross looking.

Hm.... I'm not sure if any of these fall under controversial. I think it's probably just weird to other people.

I'm not very picky but some foods I don't prefer: avacados and mushrooms.
I refrigerate ketchup.
I eat fruit rinds sometimes. (Before you ask, not bananas. Lemons, limes, watermelon , kiwi, mangoes.. that kind of stuff. I can eat orange rinds but I don't prefer it.)
I really like raw flour.
I tend to shove food in my mouth in one go.

Watermelon is absolutely disgusting and anything with it or flavored with it should be immediately tossed into the trash.

PINEAPPLES DON’T BELONG ON PIZZA!!!!

Those Flamin’ Hot products are all disgusting flavored. There should be a ban on all of those products because they actually taste much worse than the original.

People who eat squirrels deserve to be shocked repeatedly with cattle prods as punishment.

Baked beans and egg whites should never touch.

Both classic components of the British fry-up, but I can't stand the taste when the two overlap. I serve the beans in a seperate side dish to avoid this happening!

- Berries taste waaaaaaaaay too strong (although I like blueberry muffins and some berry flavoring)
- Olives/capers/etc. are pure evil + trash
- BBQ sauce is way better on hot dogs than ketchup
- Ketchup in general is not very great
- Turkey beats ham every time

I have a lot, thanks to having sensory issues wrt food, but here's the first few that come to mind:
  • Not only is Marmite delicious, but it goes with more different foods than people realise. Love having it in a sandwich with cheese and cucumber!
  • Most types of tea aren't good.
  • Water is better than any flavoured cold drink.
  • Well-done meat is better than rare/medium rare.
  • Eating meat off the bone is just... not a pleasant experience. I'll always have boneless.
