Cosy Photo Challenge [Closed Til Next Time!]

here‘s the fort I built for my puppy. He sat in it for like 2 seconds so that was cool

I fit inside too for the record I’m in it as I type this lol

I had some additional requirements if I was to turn the whole living room upside-down, I was required to fit not one, but two people, me and my partner must watch a movie in the fort after posting, and it's my turn to make the popcorn (from kernels over the stove, that's why we take turns t.t).

My younger brother and I used to build forts ALL the time when we were younger, so this was very fun to do!
This made me realize I don't own anything cute and fluffy... 😱 also, didn't bring my switch to the fort since it's movie night!

Boy, I hope this counts. My husband (who did not help at all!) says I spent 30 min.

pillow forts are not my...forte?

also, it is very uncomfortable to sit in a nest or blankets when your house is sealed up tight against the fire apocalypse air, but though tight, I really could sit inside this cozy little home

Hope this is right! The only space I could find was at the end of my bed, I hung them off a cabinet in my room then draped them over my bed and desk. Inside I placed my comforter on the ground and I just have my basic sleeping pillows, then threw in some plushies to make it cozy

Hope this tag is acceptable! When i tried it was either the tag was too small / unreadable or the fort would get blurry so i opted for this ;w;

Lol! Soooo we JUST got new couches a few weeks ago. My son is enamored with them and the way they recline. He kept telling me they were so comfy he could sleep under them and they’d prob still be comfy. !!! Ok, son. Let’s try it!!!
Just to be sure I didn’t want any of his body parts to hit the metal, we started by putting big pillows in front of that part. Then we draped blankets across the top of the the metal and pillows (4 big pillows and 2 blankets) and then we added 2 more throw pillows on each end. We draped 2 big throw blankets over the top and added some small lighting (don’t worry, the candle is battery operated). It wouldn’t be a party without MY Pokémon blanket and some plushie friends. I’m actually surprised our remaining dog didn’t try and crash the party.

Sorry it's so squished. I didn't have much room to build. Hung the sheet from the ceiling and draped it around my papasan chair. Added battery operated candles, and a sheep on top of a body pillow for a relaxing atmosphere. Four pillows, and two blankets are inside for maximum comfort. BTW, the unicorn is quite happy sitting in the middle of it all :)

Here is my cozy corner I retreat to when I need to escape. I hung some starry sheets and curtains above my bed. There's also some lights above and a few friends as well. (Don't worry, mom won't find you playing video games here after dark!)

Building a Blanket Fort

erRFVhD.jpg

🏕️ Materials used for the Blanket Fort 🏕️
  • 2 Tables (1 Tall Table on the Front Side & 1 Short Table on the Back Side)
  • 1 Fitted Sheet
  • 2 Flat Sheets
  • 2 Pillows (1 Couch Pillow & 1 Regular Pillow)
  • 2 Blankets
  • 1 Fitness Mat
  • 8 Stuffed Animals (1 Hello Kitty, 4 Bears, 1 Pig, 1 Owl, and 1 Lizard)

I made this Blanket Fort in my living room. It was the first place I thought of when this challenge came up. Building the blanket fort was a lot of work for me. It was quite hot when I started to build my blanket fort in the living room of my home. I tested out my blanket fort myself and was able to fit inside pretty comfortably since I'm not super tall. I moved the pillows that were covering some parts of the short table to put my legs through. There was enough room for my legs and my feet. I laid in the blanket fort on my stomach and my back when I tested it out.

Here's my blanket fort. I used a lamp beside my chair and my window shade to hang blankets over and around the chair I typically sit in in order to create my fort. It's actually quite comfy sitting inside it, haha

I had two use two chairs to hold up my duvet, and used a fleece blanket for a cozy soft flooring. And of course two comfy pillows!

I kinda went romantic with mine lmao. I used the fairylights that were at my wedding a couple years ago.. and added in a blanket that my grandma gave to us. And chocolate roses my husband gave me. There is a sheet and a blanket on top of my sewing table, and a blanket covering the floor.

*slaps roof of fort* this bad boy can fit so many things in it
and took three hours to make!! Tbh I'm sad I can't show more pics because it was so much fun (and it's so big). I did my best to fit what I could in the interior pic.

I saw people use bunk beds, so I figured it would be fine if I used the loft bed we have! My sister helped me build it a bit and we spent some time inside, hehe. For the materials... huh, around 3 blankets, 2 comforters, 2 plaids, the bed's curtains, 9 cushions, 16 plushies (most of them you can't see in the inside pic), 11 clothes pegs (because what would a fort be without pegs)… as well as tinsel and a light garland for the ceiling, two chairs to make a bigger entrance & act as shelves, a mattress on the ground, a lamp with a pincer that I attached to the bed ladder, a fan outside if it gets hot, and of course Switch/laptop/books anything you want!

ALSO, I gotta say that I am quite proud of how we managed to hang the wall comforter:
Turns out we had coat-hangers with pincers; by turning their heads we hung them on the bed and attached the comforter to it!

My room is quite small, so unfortunately this is as much of a fort as I could make. I can fit completely inside though (but only if I sit!)

The ‘walls’ are two comforter cushions I believe? Two blankets for the roof (which can be adjusted to close the ‘door’ and two pillows for back support.

Here's my fort!
EgBF1MOXsAASbBm

EgBF0VIXgAARbud

I used my desk and desk chair to make the structure since I have very little floor space
The fort includes:
  • Lots of pillows to get comfy! (Ravenclaw, of course)
  • Blankets to make a cosy atmosphere, plus my Guide blanket to both snuggle up in and to sew badges on! I have so many badges....
  • My Animal Crossing friends to watch me play ACNH on my switch
  • Cosy lighting
There really is something about a fort, because I stayed in there for a good few hours playing AC, before I saw a spider and had to burn it to the ground 🙃 🙃 but not actually because I'm not a pyromaniac!
