Considering I usually can't even stand up in my room and have to crawl around my bed, I'm very surprised I managed to get this done. Although I did have to use some "unusual" methods to get it built without it falling over itself. I used my desk as the main structure, and I also used 2 blankets for the floor, 2 sheets, 3 pillows (2 for structure) and 3 plushies. I am submitting this while inside my fort, so yes I can fit in it relatively comfortably. Sorry if the photos are a bit dark, wasn't sure if using the flash on my camera was allowed or not.
This worked out way better than I expected! The right wall is made with the cushions of my couch and is safe to lean against. The drying rack at the top left is a very important structural reinforcement that I added after my fort unscheduledly disassembled itself.
And here's the outside, I have a tower fan pointing in because it's summer and this would otherwise become much too hot. It actually makes the fort nice and chilly and since it's big enough to comfortably lounge in, I might keep it up for a while
Here's my fort! I used the back of my couch and 2 tray tables for the structure. I didn't have any fun lights or anything bc I just moved across the country but it was still super comfy!
I really enjoyed this challenge! I've daydreamed about making a blanket fort many times. Apparently all the motivation I needed to spend hours building one was the TBT Fair! This fort structure is a clothing rack and a bookshelf (which also doubles as an interior library). I used some celestial-themed party streamers (leftover from a birthday) to tie it to the fair's theme. The sheets are held in place with many binder clips, safety pins, and straight pins. It seems pretty solid; I forgot to take pictures with my user name last night, so this morning I made a little banner with my user name and took new photos.
Including an interior shot as well - big enough to sit inside with a cappuccino and play the ukulele, read, or play Animal Crossing!
Here's my fort! Featuring Chewie the ferret. It was pretty difficult to get it all in view since it was so big. I have a main blanket going over the top then a smaller one that drapes across the back of it to not let in any more light then possible. I also have two pillows helping keep the blanket in place as well as for comfort! And uhh please ignore my messy desk I had to move stuff around to make room for the blankets.
tried my best with the space that i got! I draped my huge blanket over two chairs and my bed as well as a blanket on the floor for extra comfort. This would probably only fit one person inside but hey it works ;_;
It was hard for me to find a good spot in my dorm room to build a blanket fort. I considered under my bed since that's personally where I would def build one but for the sake of this challenge I figured I would build one under my desk!
I made sure that the blanket covered the entire fort for maximum darkness. It only fits one person but I'm perfectly okay with that. I brought along 4 pillows, two to lay on and two to make the walls more comfy. I have a blanket covering the fort and another on the floor (don't worry my floor is clean). I also brought along my red panda, fox, and Shy Guy plushies for company, as well as my drawing tablet and stylus.
(I went ahead and included the name card in both pics if that's okay)
