Count Inside the Bottle [Closed Until Next Year]

hi, i just realized that my entry hasn’t been accepted yet and i think it’s bc i put my guess in the text area as well as the numeric one. is there any way i can rectify this and get it accepted or is it too late

edit: WOW please disregard this the number has literally already been announced and i was 110 pom poms off lol
You won't see a status change on submissions for this particular event. Your guess came through just fine. :)

I'm so proud of myself for my guess of 333, I did so much math to get that. if any of you nerds are curious here's my full math:

## average sample of spheres in the jar, with diameters (all measurements are in pixels)

101 x 9
136 x 2
181 x2
72 x 15
90 x 7

## volume of the jar

565 x 720 x 565
229,842,000 pixels or
229,842 kilopixels

## volume of the spheres

V= 4/3(3.14)r^3

d101 = 540,000
d136 = 1,320,000
d181 = 3,100,000
d72 = 195,000
d90 = 380,000

## average volume for one sphere

540,000 x 9
1,320,000 x 2
3,100,000 x 2
195,000 x 15
380,000 x 7

=

4,860,000
2,640,000
6,200,000
2,925,000
2,660,000

=

19,285,000/35

=

551,000

## the average pom pom has a volume of 551,000 pixels
## assuming a packing density of .85:

229,842,000 x 0.8

=

184,000,000/551,000

=

Oop - off by near 80 this time, I’m getting worse at it 😂😂😂

I... just realized i posted my guess with the "house of nightmares" label... i want to delete my account

wow, for the past two bottles the answers were in the 300s and each time i guessed that it was in the 100s lOl

I was way off for both of these rounds 🤣 looking forward to the third jar!

Omg. I seriously need to add 100 to all of my guesses for these 🤣 😭

Wow, I never would have thought to do any of that. I admire your intelligence. I love seeing stuff like this, it makes me feel like *whoosh* LOL

333 pom poms in the jar
i thought i'd see "hehe 333 same number three times funny" when i opened that spoiler tbh

Just realized I was 70 pompoms off... guess it could be worse? I'll have to try harder next time!

First and foremost, please see this post for a guide on correctly formatting your submission. There were quite a few last time around that were missing the round number, left the numeric entry field blank, or filled out only the thread body. Your guess won't be counted and you'll miss out on your tickets if you fail to format your guesses according to this guide, so please take a few seconds and read over it to make sure you get your goodies!

There's also a very special gift in store for anyone who manages to nail down the exact number for this last bottle. In addition to the absolutely stunning Animated Shooting Star collectible, anyone with a dead-on guess will also receive a Dark Candy collectible from me at the conclusion of the fair. Throwback to Halloween 2015 and p e p p e r's mad candy counting skills. 🎃

Head on over to the Submissions Board and get those guesses in, and as always, please refrain from discussing your guesses publicly until after the event has concluded.

Best of luck to all of you, and have fun!
