Maybe I'm overthinking this...but each "string" is each piece of floss, right? Not each individual thread? (When you embroider, usually you take two threads and use that...so each of these "strings" might be like 4 threads..... But I would think we're counting the whole piece, not the unraveled threads. Or conversely when you knit, a piece of yarn might be 2 ply or 3 ply or 4 ply, but you would consider the whole piece the yarn, not the individual threads twisted together to make the yarn)
Now I thought that the tricky part would be figuring out how many ends there were.... I thought there was a minimum of 3 because there are 3 colors... But some yarns/strings are variegated and one part of the spool/ball is dyed one color but then the rest is dyed another color and it's all one long string!!
So I guess at minimum, it's got to be at least ONE
Maybe I go Price is Right mode and guess ONE lol
(Two if you count the Pepper hair)
