This is just a prediction, but considering that the island from New Leaf is missing, and I know the Nook Miles Tickets are sort of a replacement for them, but I am thinking the Turnip Stalk Market will be the biggest source of Bells in New Horizons, on top of your daily bug and fish catches.

hmm maybe - but tortimer’s island might show up at one point, but who knows?

I agree, I got the feeling from the direct and also the way the description for the guide is worded that it will be something they encourage us to take part in.

Without insect farming, I'm afraid you're probably right. The island was a such a great tool for earning bells, even with the turnip market I think it'll be a lot slower grinding without beetle farming.

Well, maybe it's possible that we could still get beetles from those random islands? Or maybe even from our own, considering the large expanse of beach around the whole place. But you're right.

I honestly loved the turnip stalk market thing in ACNL and I am really excited for it to make a return! That's how I made most of my wealth in ACNL lol.

That's what I'll be doing if there's a dedicated summer island like the Tortimer one.

Beetle faming.

I imagine Nook Miles Tickets and their islands will be rich with high-selling resources, but considering the possibility of Nook Miles being limited daily, or slow to obtain... there's the chance you may want to spend those Nook Miles Tickets wisely. For villagers, etc.

That's true! You're right, it's probably not viable to go beetle hunting on those random islands regularly to obtain wealth. Which makes it that much more important to utilize the stalk market -- which is really neat! I am glad I pre-ordered the guide now since it apparently gives us some good tips on it lol.

I'm excited for the stalk market to make its return c:
It's always fun scouring the forums for a good price or debating on if you should sell at a certain point or not

The Nook Tickets may be the best bet to replicate a similar type of profit earning, though I expect it to be difficult to be consistent in how much you can make per trip. I'm sure the beetles will still appear on our own islands as well, but they may not spawn at high rates because of surrounding land/foliage. I guess we'll see soon enough.

That might me a big brain prediction actually... it adds up. I definitely welcome it, i didn't really dabble in the stalk market because it was so easy to get rich in new leaf but with these new principles, a ho might be an investor now

this is what im thinking now too. i always thought it was interesting but i felt like i was too dumb to understand it, but now that i know what i know in hindsight i was definitely just too dumb to research what it was until after i slowed down playing acnl
