Dark Veil (Roleplay)

I sigh. "If you are too stubborn to, I'll go." I stand up, and walk downstairs, ready to hear it.

"Ah! There you are Cindra. I'd assume that Fein probably hates me now, so...yeah, let's get on with the assignment."

[entire assignment will be posted in a bit]

"Alright, your assignment is to protect this hotel. Just to the west of us is a series of opposing army camps. They contain Footsoldiers, Archers, and Killers. Footsoldiers were encountered on the first assignment, archers are...archers, but beware of their poison tipped arrows. Very deadly poison. If possible, get one of them that they could shoot and use it as a backup melee weapon, as the sticks used to hold the feather and the pointed part are quite durable. They're the red ones. Green ones are regular ones, blue is the fire ones. I know, a bit ironic on that last one, but hey, it's not like we chose it for them or anything, right?" I tried that last sentence as a desperate attempt to impress Cindra, but I was nearly certain it'd backfire. "They also carry a knife, but they aren't trained that well to use it, so don't worry about that. Killers are very sneaky. One second your ally will be right next to you, the next, gone, without any warning. That's what they do. Be very careful of these guys, they have invisibility cloaks, but they will malfunction upon touching fire, water, or anything sharp. They will temporarily hold foes in captivity in a building near their main tent, usually to get information from them. Say nothing, even if they threaten death. On the bright side, they only hold weapons at their base, even then, all they carry the is unloaded guns for threats. and only go out to battle defenseless, since they think they can get away with invisibility cloaks. We all good?"

"All good." I say picking up my usual weapons. "Lets kick some a**!"
"Yeah, I'm ready to move out." I say to the others as I swing my staff around casually.

I look at him.
"How long are we supposed to defend the hotel? Because these enimies sound very dangerous."

"Got it," I reply, thinking already about what spells to use. If invisibility cloaks malfunctions if touched [by water, maybe I can use the pool to my advantage?

I look at him.
"How long are we supposed to defend the hotel? Because these enimies sound very dangerous."

"We're attacking, not defending. The camps are only a mile away, so no bus guys. Grab your weapons." I pull out my armor, swords, shield, and knife.

"Sounds good." I double check my weapons.
Putting a hand through my hair, I turn to the others. "So are we ready to head out now?"

I pull my robes on, gripping my staff tightly. Let's hope no one gets injured Or passes out like last time we were fighting stuff.

I get my herb bag, and my throwing knives. "I'm ready..."

I feel so fragile. How many are there?

I whisper to Alex. "Stay by my side, we can team up. A good fighter alongside a mage, we will be unstoppable."
I nod, "Yeah, double team them, I like your thinking."

I feel slightly nervous without Fein.
At least I'm with everyone else. "Are we ready to head out?"

"Yes, let's go." I head out the door, and point to a shelter up on a hill. "We're going in that direction," I say as we head out through the gates.

I follow with others, impatient, wanting to get in and fight.

(Okay going AFK for a little bit, pretend I am fighting or something, should be back soon)

I follow the rest, brute armor well equipped. I guess Taylor isn't such an assface. He was well prepared with the assignment, and seemed to have carried the team in a good direction while I was in my coma. I'll be sure to congratulate him afterwards.

I follow the others until we stop. When the first enemy is in sight, a lone foot soldier, me and Alex instantly look at each other and give each other a competitive smirk before running towards it. "I'm getting the first kill!" I ready my staff as we run.
"You wish!" I say sprinting along side him, axes spinning.
