Hello everybody, I am back with a few little updates from Storrs. Not much went down over the time I was gone, probably because I didn't play much, so hopefully this post won't be too long.
Friday I stopped in to see Colton.

...are what? o:
Somehow, he said, people have started thinking they're cousins. Well that's an obvious thing to think; They're such adorable friends. For the sake of Buck's privacy, though, Colton couldn't tell me any more about it. That was all I needed to know. :')
The next day, Colton said he was moving out of town on the 23rd. Maybe all of the gossip going on about him lately (more about that in a bit...) is starting to get to him. I hope not! I dissuaded him immediately, and he happily agreed to stay in town for a while longer.
That same day was Saturday, and that meant it was the Bug Off. I didn't get to play until late, so it was already over by the time I got started. After I did my daily things, I headed on to the tent for the awards ceremony. The first place winner was Melba, with 55 points!

Second and third were Greta (ew) and Colton with 45 and 42 points respectively. All in all, I was happy to see that our newest neighbor and one of my best friends came out of it with trophies. Come to think of it, it was probably the first Bug Off for all of them.
I checked up on my HHA score again and I had indeed surpassed 1,000,000 points! *confetti* I didn't get a letter from them, though. So maybe I have to keep going and reach 1.1 million before I unlock the next house part. I can't give up yet!
Yesterday, Whitney wanted a fruit and I grabbed a durian out of her backyard for her. She thanked me with a Toad Shirt. Shortly after, Chief came over and asked me if he could buy said Toad Shirt. I knew it wouldn't look very flattering on him, or in his house for that matter, but I couldn't say no. And the worst of all possibilities followed: he put it on.

Well I suppose it could be worse.
I talked Felicity into buying the Exotic End Table out of Re-Tail, since I think it was Chester's and he isn't around any more to buy it back for his house. Besides, Felicity needed something that actually looks like normal house furniture.
Buck wanted a fruit, I grabbed him an orange, and he thanked me with a Pink Wave Tank. After that, Felicity was home and I noticed that she set out the new table and put a bug on top. Rather homely, I had to admit. She had something for Deirdre, that our little deer friend had left the last time they talked. I took it off her hands and proceeded to Deirdre's house. She was home, and had a visitor inside: Fang!

I wasn't aware the two even talked, so it was nice to see them hanging out. I handed over the package which turned out to be Deirdre's Sleek Lamp, that she had forgotten all about and ordered a replacement for. I agreed to buy it off her, and left the two to their little powwow.
At the end of the day, I found Colton and he ran over to me. He asked me what I like most in people, and I had to say personality. He said that was "so me", and probably why I'm so popular in Storrs.
Now for today. I set off on patrol in my usual manner and eventually happened upon a seemingly inhabited Chief's house. I stepped in to see what he was up to.

*sigh* I thought I'd heard the last of this...
Nevertheless, I agreed to return it to Greta. It would be clothes, anyway. It always is...
Shortly after, I found Greta outside of her house. I handed over the package and waited for the rage to ensue. However, to my delight, it was only furniture. A Boxing Mat, which is almost equally as suspicious, but I let it go at that. Well, not before I smacked her in the head a few times with my net, that is.
Felicity was nearby with her watering can and asked me to catch her an arowana. Considering the facts that it's extremely rare and I planned on doing no fishing today, I had to decline. Buck was outside of his house and wanted a new piece of furniture. I never did find anything I thought him might like, though. I considered buying the Mixer at T&T for him, but meh..he'd only make a mess with it, I was sure.
A bit later, I found Deirdre near her house as usual and walked around her in hopes she would ping. She did, but (again) not for a PWP. She convinced me to purchase her Plaza Wall.
Next I went back home to organize my closet a bit and change my shoes. Once I was done there was a knock at the door, and Buck came in for an impromptu visit! We chatted for a bit and he gave me a Vintage Radio for my troubles before seeing himself out, which was brand new to my catalog.
I had a couple of trees to chop down; The last stump-to-be by the bonfire, and one beside the campsite I wanted to move a space closer. It was not the former, however, that was a special stump, but the latter. Either way, I'll take it! And this one was a pattern I hadn't gotten before.

So much for moving that tree closer to the path, though.
After that, I found Colton at home. And, again, he was the most interesting villager of the day. Compliments first, as usual.

He's such a flatterer.
But then...
View attachment 235845
Oh? Had Whitney finally gotten up the nerve to ask him out, or is she telling the whole town that she has?
View attachment 235846
Well that is even more serious...I can understand why Colton wanted to get out of town. ._. Maybe she did ask him out, he didn't reciprocate her feelings, and she got all upset at him... I will definitely have to look further into this.
Oh, and before I left I found a Congra Drum in his dresser.
Lastly but not leastly, I commissioned a new face cutout standee in front of the new illumination arch. I have a certain something in mind for its design, which I've already sort of made (very poorly) already, but I'm going to try to find someone to make a better one for me / make a better one myself. So we'll see how that goes.
And that's all! Leave it to me to make a long post out of nothing. x)
Until next time!
