Hello again from Storrs! First of all, I want to apologize for being rather absent in the world of blogging. I fully intend to catching up on all of you friends' blogs today, right after this post. Also, I didn't post yesterday because nothing happened in town. Literally nothing. Not a one of my villagers asked anything of me, and I was busy in the evening and missed the first of August's fireworks shows. Hopefully I can make next week's! Oh, and Cyrano moved in. Yay.

I suppose it doesn't get in the way TOO much. I dunno. Hopefully he doesn't stay long.
Now today was only slightly more eventful. Whitney invited me over as soon as I came out of my house, and I hastily followed her next door. She wouldn't let me buy her hideous dharma, but I did manage to get her Kiddie Bookcase out. Colton was home and needed a fruit so he could dance. I shook a lemon down for him and he thanked me with a Purple Tie-Die Tank. Oh, and he complimented me on my hat.

Chief pinged me and gave me a School Desk, just because. Melba wanted me to get signatures for her petition Go Nuts for Nuts, and I agreed, although I doubted I'd be visiting any other towns today. Buck was home and said he was extremely sore, and wanted me to bring Whitney to him so he could talk to her. I ran home and found Whitney still around and had her follow me. Turns out, Buck wanted her help with face painting so he could cheer on his soccer team. Whitney was slightly offended.

I assured her that her makeup looks fine, and she hurried out to do some shopping. Buck didn't seem to mind though, and he thanked me with a Glass-Top Table.
Greta ran up to me in the Zen Park and wanted my School Desk. Likely because she knew it used to be Chief's. So I said no.
Aside from that, nothing else has happened in town over the past couple of days, so here are some more pictures of the new area I've been working on below the train station.

If you recall, the half of my town north of the river is based on the University of Connecticut. SO, I like to think the Illuminated Arch could be like an archway that has "Established 1881" written on it or whatever. Next time I find a lost book in town, I'm going to sit it in front of the bench and make it a decent little study spot. That is, until I can unlock a Picnic Blanket or something of that nature. And for the cutout.

Seriously, KENDAI'S QR CODES are awesome. If you need something made, I highly recommend this shop!
Now I'm not sure if I'm going to like the bushes I planted, though. I do want some blue hydrangeas around, but it's always so hard for me to find a bush formation that I like. x) I'd like to plant some white carnations around too, if I can ever breed any more. In other future Connecticut developments, I'm thinking of starting a new character (!) and having their house be school themed.
And I haven't forgotten about the Wonderland side's Red Queen's Castle! Lots of things are lining up for the future of Storrs, and I hope you're all as excited as I am.
One more thing. Tomorrow I'm going to Tennessee for a little mini-vacation and will be back Friday. I probably won't get to play much, so I probably won't get to blog. And right when I was getting back into it, too. But I won't be gone long!
