If it's a buying/selling thread, most people just re-use their threads. If it's on say, Brewster's Cafe, you could usually wait until theres maybe 3+ weeks of no activity on the thread. There's no set rules though. If a thread already exists for a semi-recent thread it'll just be locked. It's your call.
Gamer's lounge? A game thread? Would that be similar to Brewster's cafe? I'm just wondering what the general consensus since I know it can be annoying to some. I guess I'll have to go back and look and make the decision. Thanks!
It's situational. Like if you want to remake a thread that's months old and hasn't been posts in for a long time that's fine, but since you want to do it in the gamers lounge (a dead board) if the thread is still on the first page or two you're best off bumping one of those up rather than making a new thread since it's not "hidden" or lost within the pages.
But ultimately it's up to you, if you think the thread should be remade, then go for it. If we don't think it should, we'll just lock it, and that's it. You won't get in trouble or anything.
