Did YOU find ACNH to be a chill game?

For the most part, yes. So much creative freedom, nothing violent, just super peaceful and cute.
However, people online somehow create amazing islands with beautiful furniture, custom designs, etc that take so long to time. And then, it’s kind of expected of you when you play. Sometimes I feel pressured to make a pretty island with amazing islanders, however my island kind of sucks lol. It’s neat, it doesn’t look bad, however it’s actual trash compared to some out there.
That’s why i keep my villagers such as Judy, Raymond, and Marshal, even though they arent uhm, my first choices, I feel they’re the only good part about my island.

Although, hearing out the same experiences from some people, i’ve begun to feel better about my island and starting to consider kicking out the villagers I only keep for show. Gonna get my dreamie Tangy someday 🍊 ✨

Do it! Seriously, you’ll be so much happier for it. 🥰 I remember in New Leaf I had Julien and as cool as he is we just didn’t vibe. But I kept him around because I knew he was really popular and other people loved him. It was so silly though because I’m the one who spends the most time in my town (or on my island in NH) so I should me making it for me. Not for guests who visit for 10 minutes!

Good luck finding Tangy 🥰💕💕

I have a chill attitude towards the game. My island doesn’t need to fit a standard, my villagers don’t need to wear perfect outfits, and I don’t need to compete with people in regards to having a “good” island. It’s all subjective and I just do on my island what I find funny, pretty, etc.

There’s a lot more stress with terraforming, but I still think it’s very relaxing, going around and talking to villagers each day, and some of the goals (like getting villager photos) aren’t stressful.

Very chill. Even hunting down balloons has been a chill experience for me, as I would just set the Switch on the arm of the couch while I'm doing other things, and just pick it up to run up and down the beach every five minutes. I always got everything with plenty of time to spare, so no anxiety.

The closest it's come to not being chill was back in summer when I wasn't playing as much, and thus I rarely saw Celeste or got stars, so I would get a little nervous about missing the monthly zodiac stuff. But then I still got them, so it was fine.

I guess every now and then I look at pictures/videos of pristine ludicrously designed islands and think mine is crap for a few seconds, but at the same time I think those islands probably aren't that fun to actually live and play in, so then I go back to not caring and being happy with what I have again.

It wasnt at the beginning when i thought i had to collect all the diys and bugs and fishes and furniture while time traveling to make my town pretty. But when i started playing day by day without time traveling or collecting everything it became the chill game it was meant to be. Ive always tt’d in my ac games but every since i stopped it made it way more casual in a great way :)
