Do people still use Nookazon?

i occasionally use it to give away furniture i get from ballons (bc i hate seeing the high prices on the site) i rarely ever use it for buying bc its simply unbelievable what people want for stuff. for villagers i like to use free treasure islands on discord ^^

I have racked up over a thousand trades on nookazon and have never once had a bad experience. In fact i’ve had the best trading experiences on there, even beating all of my experiences i have had here on TBT. Trading on Nookazon is fast and easy. I’ve had some trades on here span over a couple days and i just give up even trying to get ahold of the other trader because i don’t have time for it. On nookazon its right then and there and it fits my schedule better then waiting around for people.

Of course be careful and trade with people who have good reviews and use obvious cautions, but i’ve heard of more good experiences on there than i have bad.

Now the prices of things can get really ridiculous on Nookazon but they have come down a lot, but you’re still going to be paying a lot for things. I don’t really mind because I maxed my bells out so i have hundreds of millions of bells so i don’t care to spend it or waste them on things. If you’re looking for cheap i would come here where you can get things cheaper or use your TBT. My TBT is more valuable to me than IGB which also drives me away from trades on here because i would rather keep my TBT.

I have traded over 500 times on Nookazon with only one bad experience - generally people have been lovely and I get (and give) plenty of free gifts.

I would say TBT is better, I’m never guarded trading here, but it can be slow on here sometimes. Villagers for example come up far more frequently on Nookazon. Currently I use both sites depending on what I want and am willing to pay.

The amount of times I used Nookazon can be counted on one hand. When I did use it (half a year ago maybe) it was to obtain villagers I couldn't find here on tbt. These days I don't use it at all because I am happy with my villagers and have a full catalogue. If I should need anything I'd still prefer tbt over any other source/site. That being said, I never had any bad experiences using Nookazon (but I was also extremely cautious).

ive recently signed up to nookazon and done quite a bit of trading on it and every experience that ive had has been good. that being said, the folks on there are 1: wayyyy too greedy with their prices and 2: a lot of the time when they say they are selling a product and you can see that they are online they will not respond. i believe they 'auction' those items without telling anyone thats what theyre doing 3: if you want an item quickly just set a ridiculous price that youre paying on it. thats what i do and its been 100% successful *you can buy 78 million bells worth of gold nuggets on ebay for $6*
i do enjoy trading, without it i wouldnt have been able to get some items that are from other ac games that make my island MUCH prettier :)

I don't know how to use it, it's probably really straight forward,

But when I was looking for Chadder I found a few posts, but didn't realize it was like a bidding thing? Like 6 mill bells, for Chadder??

I mean, hes amazing, so I totally understand.

But I didnt know there was bidding, then on a day I was looking for either Snake, or Genji I bidded on Snake since I was the only person

But I then got out bidded the next day, even though the bidding person was on? That's so weird, slightly messed up too, since it's like bidding All I wanted was a ninja rabbit lol

I offered alot for Snake too. But those prices are crazy o_O

I technically have an account, but haven't used it (just logged in, though, to doublecheck if I had an account, lol) IIRC, it was the website where you couldn't contact people directly on the site? (correct me if I'm wrong) But I know, when I was trying to find websites for trading and such, at least one website needed you to put in contact info, like an email or discord (I don't have discord and dislike using email), and it was just too much hassle for me. I like using this site- I can advertise on here, contact people on here, work out deals on here, and overall just use this for all my needs. It's slower, but I'm more concerned with trade safety than speed. Also, I like spending TBT, because I literally ONLY use it for trading. Whereas I may want to spend IGBs... y'know, in-game.

But, this thread has made me feel like giving it a chance, since it sounds like scamming might be less of a fear now? That, and the scary high prices, are the main reason I haven't used it yet. But it might be worth trying if I want to find a new home for a villager quickly. But the contacting thing might still be an issue.

I haven't in a very long time(I just checked and my reviews are still there). I first went there cause I was trying to get all the crown/wreath diys and couldn't find them here. I didn't have any problems with the folks I traded with on there. I personally prefer trading item for item instead of for nook miles tickets or bells on there(as others have said, they over price things). Also I tended to look for people who were online at the time for quick trades. I do prefer trading here though. The last time I went there I gave up pretty quick because of the ads. I would attempt to look at someone's wishlist and an ad would pop up instead and I could never get to the wishlist. Unless this is fixed I won't use that site again.

A bit unrelated, but has anyone seen ads for Nookazon on other sites? I saw one the other day on chickensmoothie and was really weirded out. They seem to be making decent money from the site I guess.
I have and it was only on the site you mentioned.

There is a whole instant messaging system on Nookazon that you can use to communicate with someone you're trading with.

I used to use it for trades but stopped around December 2020 since it became such a hassle trying to give away stuff I didn't need to people who needed it, mainly because the things I didn't need weren't usually in much demand so they'd sit in my storage wasting space. Not only that, but in the end I started to deal with a LOT of flakes (people who say they'll do a trade but never show up and just waste your time), so that made me want to stop dealing with people on there. I had never been scammed however, I think it's probably worse now but when the site was new almost everybody I dealt with was awesome

Thanks for the information, everyone! I actually did go ahead and contact a mod, turns out there was an error on my end and I got access to my old account with my reviews intact. I did a few quick trade for some items and so far so good thankfully. :)

I used it briefly but not currently, no.
I'm not sure if they've integrated more options to help listers. However, I had too many bad experiences with buyers ghosting and/or rude. Nookazon, once you've accepted someone's offer, required you to wait I believe it was 2 days - which isn't always feasible I feel like if you're someone with a difficult schedule and trying to only trade in the moment/same day only. Even when communicating such and showing you're online for immediete trade, you had offers that took advantage of that and you couldn't rate someone poorly for ghosting until that two day period passed. Likewise, ratings weren't locked to specific trades so it was abused by people rating people they never traded with or retaliation ratings.
TBT to some extent has better policies or communications available I feel like unless major updates have changed things.

Aside from the positive experiences in this thread I've only heard negative things about Nookazon, typically about scamming. I prefer TBT because it has a long history as an AC forum, and I feel like this is where the "real" AC fans gather.
