do villagers still visit your house?

in older games, villagers would visit your house when your friendship level was high enough. haven't noticed this yet in acnh and was wondering if it still happens? i also noticed it's much quicker to befriend them now, i recently got one of their picture frames by doing the bare minimum,,

Hm, now that you mention it, I have yet to get any too. To be fair, I'm rarely in my house though :'D But no one has asked to come over or invited me over.

man that's sad, it's such a cute but meaningful little feature :,( doesn't help that the regular dialogues are so short now too

Maybe you just need to befriend them over a longer time, before those options pop up.

I think they do. I remember either promotional pics or a part of the videos we've seen with villagers visiting or asking to visit your homes.

I haven't had that option yet, but honestly I'm glad since my house is the least of my concern right now haha

I've had villagers mention that they want to visit my house, but there wasn't a visit schedule option so far.
