Do you go all out for every house in HHP?

I decorate each house until I'm satisfied, but I use a variety of different room sizes/numbers of floors. Nan wanted a luxury hotel room, so I gave her two floors and made a reception area and a large hotel suite for her. Cranston wanted somewhere to eat rice, so I made him a cute little studio home. I think it helps to break up the time commitment.

If I don't want to finish, I also just put the Switch to sleep and come back to it later. 😊

At first I was truly doing the most for each vacation home. I was laying down paths, landscaping, making faux balconies inside, decorating every inch, etc. By like the 20th house everything started looking the same. I got bored really fast. Now I only do a house a few times a week and usually just visit HHP for a plumeria start and to take the moss/vines.

I've found that I only now do houses when a particular theme speaks to me. If I don't have anyone good on the beach or in the buildings 99% of the time I'll leave nowadays!

No, not really. However, if there's a villager I like or if I'm using an NPC amiibo, I do.

I definitely try to do as much as I can. I usually max out the size of the rooms, including giving every house an upstairs. It sure is time consuming but I love seeing it all come together in the end. Each house probably takes over 30 minutes to complete, but I find the game fun so it's definitely worth it to me.

I haven't really played the DLC in a while because of being on vacation over the holidays, but I usually go all-out on each house the best I can. I'm not the greatest at designing but I do enjoy it!

I usually start with the intention to go for it because how am i going to get better at decorating if i never try? but then a lot of the time i don't really care too much for the concept i'm having to decorate around so end up just shoving some things in to make the room look less empty. if i really like the theme/villager though i try a bit harder

It depends on the villager and what items they request. I try to put more in the room if I feel that there are plenty of compatible items. My interest has declined some now that I've got the throne and the castle tower and wall and gate. I am also still playing it because I'm only at the 20,000 poki level and I would like to get the highest pay amount. There just isn't a whole lot of items that I really want that I would buy through Wardell rather than wait for it to show up at Nook's.

Im pretty sure I'm the worst at decorating places lol. In my own island home I have a fish room 🐠

I got it for christmas, and my goodness I was so over whelmed by the amount of items you could put in, but i did my best to make it look nice. I went through all the items to see the reactions, and tried to use all those items they adore. But also other items that they kinda liked.

I still can't really tell if they like the place or not. So Im just going with that they like it lol.

I've only done two houses so far, because i take forever to get through even one lol. I took Moe as my next client, but haven't gotten back to it.

For me it definitely depends on how much I like the villager / idea, but I do put enough effort into each house to be satisfied with it. I want to go back and redo some of the very early game ones, but otherwise I tend to only revisit houses if I find a roommate for a villager. I do add roommates if two villagers have similar enough ideas that I don't think it makes sense to make them a separate house (or if I just think they'd be cute as roommates haha). Some houses are the smallest size, others are the biggest size, I try to mix up layouts and techniques, and when I'm not feeling inspired I simply don't create houses! But for me it adds a lot of replay value since I love doing it generally.

For the interior it really depends on my mood and how much I like the villager. I haven't messed around with the exterior that much so it looks very bare.

I do plan on going back and redoing the houses because I was waiting for a specific villager to show up for roommates.

I have only been playing for a little bit, but I go all out for my designs. I always start with the exterior and try and make each one really special. The interiors are a little harder for me but I still go all out. I really use the requested pieces as my jumping off point as well as the title of each house. I also do a lot of the designing with my husband, which makes it even more fun. I also take a lot of Instagram and Pinterest inspiration. I love using ideas that I see online!

I've been playing the DLC since release and just now hit 30 houses. I typically end up putting in 2-4 hours in to every house regardless of how much I like the animal I'm designing for. Sometimes I do lose the desire to work on a request in the middle of a project but typically that just means I need to scrap whatever I've already made and start over. So far no project has been impossible for me to finish to the fullest.

As far as the question of will the DLC always be repetitive... Yes. The core game play loop will burn you out if you don't enjoy fiddling around with furniture for hours on end. HHP/HHD is less of an actual game as it is just a design simulator imo.

I put in a lot of effort, which is honestly the reason I haven't touched the DLC at all after the first 2 or so weeks/5 houses. Unfortunately not having the touchscreen controls from HHD makes my way of picking furniture much more tedious, and I dislike yard design so much I'm burning out on that before I even get to the interior, but it feels super wrong to just skip it, so.

I do (did, since it's been a while since I've touched the game). I feel really bad skimping out so I try my best each time. It takes a lot of time to deck the houses out but it's worth it when the villagers praise me.

I try to do a nice house for everyone, but sometimes I am just not inspired. In that case I’ll just add and arrange some of the things from their shorter list and move on. I’ve done more than 40 houses and am still enjoying it. My island has suffered, however, so I’m trying to be more balanced.

I love to watch YouTubers decorate the houses. I think that helps keep me going on it.

For the first couple houses, yeah. After designing Bruce's house, I did the bare minimum to complete to meet requirements. I wanted to unlock the diys and the villager redesign features as soon as possible

I limit myself to one per day but even then some are kind of half-done haha.

I just get frustrated from decorating since I'm not very good at it so I allow myself to put in just enough effort to make me satisfied.
