Do you guys think that balloons should drop more varied item?

The balloon set is cool and that but when you play the game for ages it becomes annoying that nothing else really drops from them. I hope for the switch they can mix it up a bit, maybe have different coloured ribbon on the presents to indicate the value of the item, or something :S

What do you guys think?

Was NL not updated to remove this issue? I seem to remember this being a thing but I wasn't playing NL for long enough to ever play the Welcome amiibo update. But yeah, I would love to see different values of balloons, maybe the better ones move faster too!

I don't think so, its either balloon items or an abundance of sliver slingshots :S maybe have more balloons attached as well. They could do so much with the ballooned gifts. Like contain coupons, bells or even a street-pass coin on very rare occasions.

I swear I heard that you would get regular furniture from them after you collected all the balloon furniture items. Maybe it's rare.

Yesss! The balloon set was cool at first, but shooting down balloons becomes really pointless unless you're going for the badge. I liked it more in City Folk, where you could get a variety of items! Hopefully something like that returns!

If I remember correctly, if you had the Balloon series complete, then you would get other items
in the balloons, but I'm not 100% sure, as I never paid so much attention to the balloons to be
honest.

I would like it if there would be different stuff, since I'm not really a big fan of the Balloon series.
I do like also that idea of different coloured ribbons on the presents to tell apart how valuable
the item inside is. I hope they would do something like this in the new game.

Same, I just tend to leave them on the floor if I do shoot them. I really couldn't be bothered to unwrap and take them to the garbage bin.

I think they'll end up doing this in AC Switch. The others are correct; the Welcome Amiibo Update for NL made it so that if you'd already collected all the balloon furniture, balloons would drop random items, so they already know that fans prefer it.

Oof, yes, the balloon presents in NL were badly planned. I wouldn't mind seeing the balloon set as reorderable but you only get the full rotation once from presents, or unorderable but rare drops.

I definitely get both balloon and regular furniture from the balloons since the Amiibo update. But it is definitely something that I?d like to see stay in the game.

The differences between a regular, silver, and gold slingshot are small aside from shooting a number of pellets at once. How about that we need a certain slingshot to pop certain balloons? We could have silver balloons that can only be popped with a silver slingshot and that they're less common than regular ones.

Even though they drop Harvey items from time to time, it's mostly balloon furniture.

Either improve the dropped items or get rid of the balloons. Definately eradicate the balloon furniture. Lol

YUP. I always avoided balloons for this reason. I wouldn't mind it being a rare set with other items popping out more frequently.

Yes, I like getting a random furniture item much more than the balloon set. If you didn't like the set, then there was no point in even bothering with the balloons. (90% of my NL time was before the Welcome Amiibo update, so I didn't experience the change that allowed balloons to drop different items)

I really disliked the balloon series, so I pretty much avoided popping them. But since I restarted my town, I'm trying to go for the balloon badge. Finally finished the balloon series and love that they drop other items since the WA update, but still don't like that 7 times out of 10, I still get a balloon series item. So I really do hope they give you other items in the switch version.
