Do you have a habit of double checking things?

Ugh, yes. With me I'm fairly certain it's an anxiety thing, but I always re-read any message or post I'm about to send several times over. If I make any changes, I re-read a few more times. I double check if I've closed doors properly, I double-check to make sure the cats are still where I think they are... I feel like it's a bit much, but I don't feel better unless I do it. If I'm typing something in on a calculator, I'll even calculate it more than one way, just to make sure I'm getting the same number and I didn't mess anything up the first time.

Yeah same, I'm such a careful person and paragraph rider it's not even fun :/ Wish I could let loose, but yeah Asperger as in my case do stink 🙃

I used to check at least 5 times (for real) if the door to my animal room is locked, before leaving the house.
My cats would probably never hurt my guinea pigs and rabbit, but better safe than sorry!

This has luckily reduced to just double checking. But what I have to check at least 3 times, is that I have everything
needed before leaving the house. ID Card, driving license, money, phone, attestation (we need this to leave the house..), mask, etc!

If it's something important then I'll double check it, such as an important email, setting an alarm or locking a door or if I'm buying something, especially if it's a big payment then I'll double check (or triple check) what I'm buying and make sure I've put all the details in correctly (in particular when it comes to address if it's something been delivered, don't want to be sending it to someone else!). If I'm doing any calculations I'd also double check to ensure there are no errors, mainly with financial calculations, which could mess up other things further down the line and if I'm going out anywhere, particularly on holiday, I triple check to make sure I haven't left anything behind.

Day to day things I don't usually double check though if they're not overly important, like if I'm messaging a friend then I don't re-read what I've said before I send it, most of the time there are no mistakes in the message anyway and if there are I'm sure most of them know me well enough to work out what I meant to say.

I usually do. I guess it's anxiety? I don't know but I can't help it. When it comes to messages, for example, I always read them again before and after I sent them. (And I still manage to miss typos??) On top of that I can be forgetful and check things three or more times instead.

sadly, yes. it likely stems from my anxiety and/or paranoia but i double check almost everything - whether it’s an assignment that i submitted, something that i posted on here or even if i’m bringing the right items with me when doing a trade, i of course have to double check it. 🥴

I have not been diagnosed, but I am almost certain I have some form of OCD. Whenever I leave the house, I have to check that everything is locked and turn off, and then I invariably do it again. Yeah, definitely a headcase.

I will double and triple check emails before sending them out to make sure they are worded for maximum effect and minimum offense, but almost no one does that.

I *usually* double check my work product, but not always.

When it comes to important things like paying bills for example, I always check more than twice if everything is right. I do kinda have anxiety to make some sort of mistake which might cause unnecessary trouble afterwards, just because I was too lazy or didn't pay enough attention in that moment.

I check things so many times that when I make a mistake I get even more upset because not only did I miss the error, I missed it only at least three separate occasions.

i double and triple check everything i do online and in real life tbh. mostly out of paranoia of people invading my privacy

Yes. I'm terrible with double checking everything, especially when it comes to texts or DM's. I'm always fearful I've worded something wrong, come across as rude or not read the message properly and ignored something important altogether.

Being a generally anxious person is super fun! 🙃

I have a problem with cheking things
While doing some important stuff i always double check buta at the same time tgere are a few things i always forget to check kkk

im moved by cheklisting and is kind strange

Yes, I always double check on things to make sure I don't mess anything up. If anything, I recite the things that I have to do or get as requested by someone.

yes. mostly my doors and car being locked. ill check more than 3 times sometimes bc i just am not 100000% positive that i locked it so why not just check again.
i think that is it though.. oh ill check that my hours and work before i submit them a lot to make sure there arent mistakes, but i think thats probably normal

I do. Sometimes I'll get paranoid about something and I'll triple or quadruple check it lol. Like when I get paranoid that I didn't set my alarm or something. Idk if it's short term memory or just paranoia or anxiety or what. But I feel like it's better to be safe than sorry, so I feel like double-checking things is good.

Unfortunately I hardly ever double-check my papers though. Or my answers to tests. I spend a lot of time on individual questions so I always figure that there's nothing I can do otherwise if I don't get it right. But I really need to start checking more carefully haha 😅 might help in the classes I am having a hard time with right now.

There are some things that I check more than just twice and then there are some things that I don't do it all.

Like when i'm at home i'll check to make sure I turned the oven off like 5 times

at work I'll be closing a deal and setting up an account that's worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and i won't check anything twice

it's a weird way of life for sure

Yeah, my anxiety forces me to but honestly it has helped a lot because I'll catch myself making mistakes or thinking I did something but I haven't.
