I'm not sure if it's just the time when I play, but my villager, Tasha, stays indoors most of the time. I rarely see her wandering around the island. Even on Toy Day and New Year's Eve. She's not even crafting.
Do you have a villager you seldom encounter when you play?
I feel like Annalise is either outside the entire day, or inside the entire day - no in between. Dobie also spends a lot of time inside, which I suppose adds to his grandpa vibe!
Ursala for me, she's that villager that I see wandering around only every once in a while since she usually stays inside or very close to home. Maybe Del too? Those two were the villagers that were home during the New Year stuff, as well.
I think it kinda fits their personalities (a sisterly and a cranky), but looking at the other answers that's probably not a thing?
Generally most of my villagers spend an equal amount of time inside and outside but I'd say Beau is the one I'm most likely to find in his home and the times he is outside he is nearly always at the flowers next to his home or fishing in the river right in front of it. I like to think that it is his lazy personality that means he doesn't venture far from his home comforts.
I think Mira is one of my villagers that is in their house 90% of the time. between Halloween, Turkey Day and Toy Day she didn't leave her house once. and typically when she does leave her house she just strolls around the immediate area.
Rolf tends to be in house more so than the rest. I can't say that I blame him. His house is pretty much the great outdoors so I guess that's why he doesn't leave
I've only had most of my villagers since September or later, because I always let them move when they want to so I can get new ones. Merry and Lobo are my oldest and I see both of them out and about often enough. From what I've noticed, I would say that Erik is home more often than not, which might fit since he's Lazy. But I even see him out and about at some point most of the time.
I find that Mira tends to stay indoors quite a bit. I've only had her for maybe two weeks now, so maybe she is just a bit shy? I hope she comes outside more, as it will be cute to see both her and Kid Cat working out together, like heroes-in-training!
