my most predominant fear is phonophobia, a fear of loud noises. it affects me in day-to-day life - for example being super scared and anticipating whenever a fire alarm will go off in school, and never attending parties because of the chance that they'll be balloons around (i also have sensitivity in my ears which makes matters worse) my phobia started around the age of 8 and has gotten worse ever since.
i also have some sort of fear of voices which is also phonophobia but its not as bad.

^I think those are pretty normal tbh?

I'm not sure about this one but the bigger the wings are on an insect compared to its body the more I scream when I see it so uh butterflies aren't my friends

loud noises, any bug with wings (except bees, i love bees), and small spiders, i adore huge spiders like tarantulas but the smaller ones scare me a little

I'm scared of social interaction. I have social anxiety and it prevents me from doing a lot of things that I want to do. I also have a fear of getting lost so I won't go to new places on my own because then I'd have to ask for directions and I'd panic. So pretty much I live the life of a hermit. :( Lol

i used to be really afraid of sleeping, since i'd get sleep paralysis most of the time and night terrors, i'd have so many weird sensations and pain in my dreams so i ended up not sleeping much
i was recommended drugs but i let it go away gradually, now i love to have naps
oh, and i usually was shaken by extremely loud noises in my head, they'd usually happen when i was about to sleep or when i was about to wake up. it was frequent when i was a child and i got used to it however it reappeared years later so that wasn't a nice time

I'm terrified of wasps and anything that falls into Uncanny Valley territory, like mannequins and animatronics.

On a weirder level, I also get nervous around balloons, and the square shape of the pupils of sheep and goat eyes freaks me the heck out.

I wouldn't say it freaks me out, but I find it weird too.

I'm afraid of horses. I can't really explain why. I've never ridden one or been kicked by one or anything like that, so there's no trauma that would explain it.

There's something to be said for horses in that while they're prey animals, they can do a buttload of damage. Horses and dogs are animals I think more people are afraid of than are willing to admit.

Hey. I have the same problem too. There is a person that is teaching me how to interact with the real world. But I may be incapable by what he has heard from me... If you want, I can give you his FC (If you own AC:NL) via PM it it'll help.

I have a sudden fear of TV's turning on by themselves showing something scary. I close the basement door when i'm doing laundry and run as fast as I can when I bring myself or the clothes back upstairs.

I'm afraid of dogs too (there IS trauma for that one), but I feel like that's a bit more normal so that's why I didn't mention it. Some dogs can be really aggressive.

I've never heard anyone say they're scared of horses though. So many people seem to like them.

audience participation. thinking about the turtle talk with crush show at epcot in disney world sends shivers down my spine , reflecting on all those years of fear and avoiding crush the turtle's kiddie radar

If I stay up too late downstairs in my house, I get really anxious and fear that people are gonna break into my house, plant bombs around my house, set my house on fire, steal my stuff or kill my loved ones. I also have dreams about this stuff happening. It's really annoying tbh. Makes me uber paranoid of everyone.

this is my exact phobia, but combine that with insects that are super vivid and colourful. basically, I am ****ing terrified of butterflies, the more colourful the more terrifying. I can't even look at a picture of one. I think the vivid colour phobia applies to things in nature other than insects as well... I can't look at really intensely colourful flowers without feeling a little sick, especially pansies. I dislike flowers in general because they attract butterflies u____u

another weird phobia: eggplants. love eating them, but I feel unsettled looking at an eggplant. I think courage the cowardly dog had a lot to do with it.

I have a fear of sloths. They just look so... strange. I don't know. I think it's a combination of their soul-less faces, giant claws, moth filled furs and slow movement. I actually get shivers when I see them. ;~;

I'm all okay with insects except for mosquitos. It's not like anything traumatic ever happened but I hate the itching so much I get super panicky whenever I hear one. I usually flee the room or sleep like... vacuum under my blankets.

social anxiety to the Extreme bruh
also elevators . i never take the elevatir unless i am forced to do it hah

i get soo uncomfortable when people snort, like actively intentionally snort, i don't mind snoring as much, it just weirds me out, i wouldn't say it was a fear but i get so uncomfortable about it
