Hello! While we understand that you'd like to discuss your favorite book series, we're going to have to ask that you stop bumping this thread and simply wait for others to respond on their own. The last nearly 2 full pages of posts are just bumps, and while we do have the universal 4 hour rule, this amount of bumping with no other replies in a discussion thread is a bit spammy.

I just rewachted all movies and I also read the books years ago! I do enjoy the world of harry potter a lot and the books are so much better than the movies. Naturally the movies can't cover all the given informations. I would really enjoy a spin off with Sirius, James and Lupin in their school days

She posted on twitter defending some women who was fired for misgendering a trans women I think. She said “But force women out of their jobs for stating that sex is real” invalidating transgender peoples gender.It’s really not very nice. She’s basically defending the misgendering of transgender people.
I was into the series when I was younger and re-read the books when I was about 15, but that's it. I think it's nice that people still like it, but sometimes they take it a bit too far (like only ever reading and re-reading the HP books without expanding their interests, or constantly rewatching the movies). Overall, I have fond memories of the series. Such a shame that J.K. Rowling turned out to be a bad person.
As a kid i liked Harry Potter well enough but i wasn't introduced to the concept of a fandom until high school where my classmates were really really Super into the books and also the starkid musical.
My favourite parts of the series were the bits about the marauders!! They're so cool and it's so sweet of them to learn advanced magic just so they could keep lupin company :')don't approve of how James treated Snape tho but well, ,, they were kids who didn't have better role models ig?

JK Rowling absolutely meant what she posted because she still campaigns against transgender people today. Also, lest we forget, she has no problems portraying racist stereotypes in her books. Cho Chang? Shacklebolt? The goblin bankers???
I can absolutely hate the person who made Harry Potter because she hates me. She hates my friends. She actively supports taking away our rights and doesn't view us as human. JK Rowling is a terrible person. I understand you like Harry Potter but JK Rowling is a very very bad person and doesn't deserve to be defended. I hope you don't share the same viewpoints that she does.
I don't care if she made the biggest book series in the world. She's a bad, bad person. Period.
