Do you like when there's an event going on in your town?

Basically what the title says, like fishing tournament, etc.

I ask this because I personally don't like it, I feel it gets in the way of progressing things... like PWPs or helping my villagers. I know it's basically a break day, but I feel it's just a waste of a day for me.

I don't mind the holidays but after you get all the trophies from the tournament it's kinda pointless imo

I just let me guys fish and catch bugs and let them have their podium time and work on landscaping or cleaning up some space in the inventory

I agree with tiffanistarr. I enjoy the holidays or events I haven't experienced yet - like when Weeding Day came but the fishing & bug tourneys aren't as interesting. Sometimes the fishing tourney breaks on me and even though my fish is bigger Chip doesn't count it. It's a weird glitch having to do with the game going between metric & standard.

It does get annoying not being able to build PWP's but it is nice to see something happening in my town

Depends on what event it is. I'm not such a big fan of events like Bug Off or Toy Day, however, I like the
Fireworks shows a lot.

Yes and no, definitely depends on the event thats going on in town. I hate that I can't do any work in my office, like building PWP's at all. Drives me insane. I get it Isabelle, I should be outside enjoying the day! BUT LET ME BUILD THINGS GOSH.

Its cute seeing all the villagers having fun
(and getting frustrated at times)
but its a little inconvenient at the same time.
i dont like events unless they give me fun items / rewards.

I love events like Thanksgiving or New Years. Events like the Fishing Tourney/Bug Off simply get in the way and I don't like them.

I like all of the events! It's really nice to see someone waiting in my plaza, and I actually wish there were more events. I'm trying to collect all of the bug and fishing tourney furniture, so I get happy when it's tourney time, lol.
Also, I absolutely love all the weeding day furniture in new leaf. I wish it happened multiple times a year.

Id be annoyed if they wiped out the events because it adds charm to the game but at the same timeffect it's annoying when trying to build pwps and the villagers dialogue are so default

But you can take ugly furniture out of villager's houses super easily! I'm sad the event didn't come again to new leaf.
