do you listen to blathers' facts?

I like to listen when I'm not in a hurry. I often donate in batches though, so he wouldn't explain them to me.

I really do enjoy listening to him blather facts about my latest catch. I like learning about new things and just enjoy trivia overall. Some of the things he says is pretty interesting and witty, and it's cute how he knows about bugs yet is so repulsed by them. It just shows what a dedicated scholar he is.

I've always really liked Blathers, ever since PG where he didn't have a license to officially access fossils. He's one of the best Animal Crossing NPCs along with his sister Celeste. I just wish she still had her observatory up in the museum so she could tell us interesting facts about stars, constellations and celestial bodies, rather than just appearing randomly and wandering around the island.

A lot of NPCs have been striped of their personality, and therefore respect, such as Kicks no longer having his little shop or Katrina just....not existing. And especially Brewster, Dr. Shrunk and Wendell.

I'm impatient in general so I skip it almost every time, and only listen if it's an interesting fossil or rarely a bug that I see a lot in real life and kind of want to know more about. But after I've completed the museum I'll probably pop in to ask about specific fossils/bugs/sea creatures so that I have a reason to keep talking to him

Celeste still tells interesting facts- show her a zodiac star fragment and she'll tell you a story about the myth behind the constellation. So no loss of personality there.

I'd argue all the NPC on the game still have lots of charm, except maybe some of the vendors like Saharah which are very straightforward with their dialogue.

I always do whenever I'm donating something new. It's nice hearing him talk and sometimes I learn something new! I do wish that fish, bugs, and fossils had some information plaques. It feels like a weird thing to not have when the museum pieces have info!

I usually tell him to give me the facts...but, I admit to skipping through most of them. Truth be told, I know wildlife pretty well...so, there is rarely anything in his brief speech that is new or interesting to me. I do find the art information to be pretty interesting, though. I've seen most of these pieces before, but, I'm far from being an "art history buff". So...I can always learn more in that regard.

I choose to listen based on my own personal interest in the thing I'm donating so I would say I listen about 50% of the time.

In the beginning I did but now I just skip everything because I'm in a hurry to do other things >.<

As someone who is a biologist at heart and in profession, I ADORE learning all the little tidbits about the different creatures that we can catch. It's one of the things that I love most when I catch a new bug/fish/sea creature!

I am probably just a minority. I always love seeing Blather's expression about bugs in general. For the other specimen, I just skip. :ROFLMAO:

while i’ve gotten into the habit of making multiple donations at once, on the rare occasion where i do only donate one critter, i always listen to what blathers has to say! he’s one of my absolute favourites and i always find his facts to be pretty neat!

i’ve even been thinking that maybe one day, i’ll go and ask him about all of the critters that i donated in bulk, just to give him a listening ear and to learn some more cool facts. :’)

Yes always! But i still miss the old info signs (like the paintings have) very much... i used to wander the museum and read all the info as if i were actually going on a field trip :)

That's the one thing that makes me sad in New Leaf, where Blathers is mostly silent on everything. Every bug/fish reminds NL Blathers about when he was in his mother's nest and I'm like... that can't be for every creature? Why couldn't they be bothered to give Blathers the flavorful dialogue he deserves?

I'm happy they brought his blathering back in New Horizons. 💖

Yes,I always listen to his facts. He's so sweet and adorable. It's great that they added to option to skip for people who don't want to sit through it. I love learning about the all creatures that you donate. He is always so passionate too so it's hard to turn him down. He also always says something funny now too at the end of his facts especially when it comes to bugs!

I've listened to his facts for everything. He wouldn't be Blathers if he didn't blather on.

I usually skip, especially bug donations. I will listen if I'm not in a hurry or if it is something I've never heard of before.
