the hha pisses me off by telling me to make the colors in my rooms match. but there's no design in that and it's like W H Y

I practice feng shui somewhat although I don't let it override my decorating if I can't make it work in a way that looks harmonious to me. I love getting the notes from HHA in which they compliment my feng shui. Sometimes I'm surprised by what items they consider to be yellow, red, and green for the purposes of feng shui.

Not in New Horizons. It's the first room, but luck doesn't exist in New Horizons

My main room has the Luna bed for dreaming surrounded by diys and other rooms on the ground floor are also covered in diys and some piles of nmts. My basement has bugs and fish waiting to be turn into models. My upstairs is just a bunch of random items from when I tried to sell them and never bothered to clean up.

Somehow I've been maintaining a B rating of 63k. I should really try for the S rating soon.

I got an A rating by picking up - get this - 4 DIY recipes! I really don't know what they expected you to do with the DIYs and HHA. You can't put them outside or your town is dirty, you can't put them in storage... But the DIY recipes are so hard to come by, it seems like that's an intentional push to get you to trade with people online. But then... Where do I put the DIYs until I find someone to give them to?????

That was my reaction too. I don't know if they added it back in the recent update, but in the earlier days that dataminer Ninji said there was no influence on luck. The Japanese ACNH guide also had a note saying Feng Shui didn't affect luck in this game. I came across this in a YouTube video. They added bad luck in the recent update with the tripping so I'm sure they will bring that back too

I'd be really really excited to get luck back, just because it makes the game more immersive, but I have to say... It's not unexpected that they took luck out, because they gutted most of the game's little complicated features, but it is unexpected to me that they'd bother to add it back in. Of all the things they took out, luck seems rather complicated to add back in, but I could see it being worth it/a necessity if they're planning on bringing back Katrina. I know this isn't a post about the March update, but like... Come on........

Just have to add- I hate this SO SO much. Everyone else seems to be waiting for the update that gives us bulk crafting, I WANT TO STORE DIYS, DANGIT. Why can I put a whole whale shark in storage, but not a small card? What kind of storage do we have?

I've never found the feng-shui bonuses worth rearranging my entire house for. I had it happen in City Folk a lot without really trying, but that's it.

It's kind of hard when colors are locked away from us outside of DIYs

i honestly didn't even know that there was a feng-shui system until i was looking up stuff on the hha. and i found this very through diagram and explanation of where to place things and why. but when i go into villager houses, they don't follow their own guidelines for feng-shui with a lot of the set ups they've created - so, personally not worried about it too much.

hha is probably having a hayday with my house right now since i'm in the middle of redecorating everything, and my living room and basement are completely bare i do try to match colours a lot, though, so that helps me get some points with them. i don't stick to just one set at a time per room, though.

I majorly did this in previous games. I went all out with this in New Leaf. I did a little bit in this game until I learned it didn't matter anymore. Shame, it was always one of my favorite features. I wish more games let you influence their daily luck.
