Do you take things seriously?

I used to be a really serious person growing up. It wasn’t until around high school until I developed a sense of humor. I think I still take things too seriously sometimes, but now I also know how to take a joke and when to joke around.

I do when I need to, but for the most part no. It annoys people sometimes.

I used to take myself very seriously, but I learned to cut myself some slack in university. Finding balance is key and context is always important. :)

I take things pretty seriously, but I appreciate a good sense of humor in others. It helps me to be around those people to balance myself out.

Depends. What I take most seriously is my education, and I'm probably willing to sacrifice more than I should to keep making progress in it. And I think my intense seriousness with my studies is what makes me not take other aspects of life as seriously. Or something like that haha.

im only serious when i need to be, im usually pretty laid back

i joke about almost everything, but i can be serious when the situation calls for it. people seem to think i'm a very serious person for whatever reason

I’ve found that in most situations, no matter how terrible, you can find a way to “reclaim” it by turning it into a joke/funny story later. I’ll still take certain matters seriously but this has definitely helped me relate to others through dark humor!

I don't really have much to write here because I'm not taking this seriously, but are you a serious person or not?

For me, it all depends on the situation! I usually don't take things too seriously but I also don't take things forgranted as well ☺️ For the most part? I'm pretty easy going, lively and not very serious at all haha

In all seriousness, yes I am serious  I guess it depends on the situation but people tend to see me as a stiff person since I don't really show emotions and dabble in music/ dances/ parties. Sometimes I don't realise someone is joking until they tell me that they are joking  I don't really have a temper nor get offended easily but I tend to take things seriously

Not at all.

That might sound strange if you've only seen my typical mod-type posts on here—I try to use direct language to be sure my posts are transparent as possible, which can come off a little blunt—but as a general rule I'm fairly laidback!

Can confirm :p

But yeah you're the good kind of blunt person and tell people in a constructive way, which is appreciated at least from my side.

Then sometimes you see people on the interwebs being straight out rude and pretending to be "blunt" which is definitely not being good.

Also for myself, not really. I might come off as direct and opinionated but if you'd actually spend some time with me I can be pretty childish(laid-back and humor-oriented in the good way. I just like having perspective about things and I kinda dislike hivemind/woke mentality in some places.

Rather than "serious" I would describe myself as very, perhaps overtly, formal, which I think comes across to most people who don't me very well as serious and self-important. But really, even when I'm rather strongly worded in my takes, I rarely ever care enough to get truly serious about them, even when they're about things that actually matter to me. There are specific subjects which I am very serious about, but otherwise, I'm just kind of messing around half the time. Basically, I only really get "truly serious" if the conversation stops being respectful, that is either intellectually or if the person in question is just being rude.

Anyone who gets to know me intimately would probably just describe me as having an odd sense of humor, I think. I don't know what other things anyone would associate with me.

kind of? i used to be a lot worse when i was younger and didn’t have much of a sense of humour at all. however, i’ve definitely chilled out over the last several years and now my sense of humour and my jokes are something i take pride in. there’s certain topics and situations that i can’t joke about yet as they still heavily impact me but besides those, i guess i’m kind of 50/50 aha

when is comes to $$$ sure. I am adjuster IRL. I pay what is owed and what is fair and reasonable.

I guess so, I think it comes from not being respected due to my age or gender (or whatever else). You can do silly things with me, but I also want to be seen as a real person with feelings and such if that makes sense. I don't like being made fun of either, I just want to be respected. 😬

When I have to be serious I can be downright intimidating, according to various real-life sources. I felt kinda bad about it at times. lol

But these days, I'm making offensive jokes and utilizing sarcasm. Life's too short to block of concrete.
