Do you think bushes are gone?

We haven't seen any bushes except for the ones attached to houses. I really liked making winding forest paths lined with trees and bushes in new leaf. I hope they aren't gone for good

Honestly, they're probably still around. They just weren't shown since it likely requires something not shown to be unlocked first such as Timmy & Tommy's shop remodelling.

no. they're probably a later-game feature. i mean there's always a possibility that they weren't brought back, but truly the flowers are so beautiful i probably wouldn't use as many bushes anyway.

I don't think so. Like others have said it is probably just unlocked. Maybe with lief. We haven't seen him yet. That was a favorite feature of mine so they better be back lol.

Probably still there. Bamboo also wasn't shown in the direct or any of the trailers, but was in a short clip unceremoniously uploaded on the website today

I think it's just something they missed out, trying to keep some things sacred yknow! Whilst bushes are a fantastic feature, I wouldn't say they're a huge selling point so who knows?! Guess we will have to find out!

I loved the addition of bushes in NL.
One of my favorite things and a big part of landscaping.

I also am of the mind that more varieties of plants, bushes and maybe even trees will be introduced alongside Leif! I could see his store being connected to/a section of a later Nook's Cranny upgrade - Or maybe he'll get a store of his very own after progressing your island somewhat!

Going off of what they are showing, I wouldn't be surprised if it is possible to obtain bushes through the randomly-generated island trips (think about the bamboo they showed in one sequence of it for example). Quite honestly, I am very curious to see if there is anything exclusive found only on randomly-generated trips that are extremely rare...

That would kinda be cool if certain features are only available through mystery island tours. It would make the tours even more fun and worth it! And it would make searching for bushes more satisfying to do that wait at the mercy of Leif's stock day after day. Or waiting for a specific hibiscus bush in Tortimer's Island stock.

people have come to accept that as just a part of the house, not an actual separate entity. because on the other side of the house, the expanded size, there are no bushes. but before the upgrade there were bushes.

There's zero reason to remove them, especially when they've already been modeled as part of the house.

And worst case scenario: use your landscaping permit to create a sunken area and plant a line of trees there, then recreate the cliffs all around them. Boom. Apple bush.
