I?ve been wondering if you think we can bury our river heads shut if we have more than one.
Some maps have 2 or more river heads.
While some maps only have one.
I would like more river heads early game but less rivers taking up real estate late game. I?ll need all the space I can get for shops, houses and decor.
I HOPE SO. I've seen some people's island planners have huge lakes and a river that cuts right through the middle. I'd love to see these ideas actualized.
I think so? We can make little waterfalls out of cliffs iirc. So we might be able to fill it in and move it depending on how you change your river and which cliff/tier side you decide to break into, if that makes sense. From the maps we’ve seen here it seems like we start off with small rivers and ponds, but I wonder if we can break a large circular area and make a bigger lake instead of only those small rivers.
idk about whether the river heads are able to terraformed or not, i do think the river mouths/exits into the ocean are fixed as there are rocks placed here in this pic.. i put this in another thread, but i'll post it here as well
in regards to ponds or lakes this q&a video from Nintendo Life, who played PAX East demos, said that we ARE able to make bodies of water where there is no water there previously (it's at 14:13)
I want to say yes?that I think we can?but what I actually mean is that I really, really hope so >.>
Not gonna lie, if we can neither change the river heads nor the mouths, the terraforming feature will be seriously underwhelming to me. At that point all the water tool would be good for is making minor tweaks, and that?s definitely not what I took away from the last Direct.
More than any other info before release, I wish we?d find out what?s possible and what isn?t in terms of changing the map later on (rivers, layers, building locations). I?d hate to unnecessarily obsess over picking a layout when it can all be altered eventually, but I also don?t want to risk choosing one that looks ?good enough? and then discover I?m stuck with those options forever >.<? Argh
i think so. otherwise it is really limiting in what you can do with the tools. i don't think you will be able to change where the water flows out into the ocean, but everything else will probably be customize-able. the starting points of the rivers are probably just, like, ponds/lakes and not waterfalls like in new leaf.
