Do you think we will get new buildings?

Do you guys think we'll get new buildings for our islands like a cafe, police station or new store?

Edit: I liked to believe they would have added at least one more building of whatever, but now you guys got me thinking they won't. I have an empty plot of land and idk what to do with it lol </3

I’d say MAYBE, just for the cafe. Otherwise I’d doubt it (I’m betting the other missing characters will most likely get events a la the wedding season)

I think we will, as the game is early in its lifetime.. I understand shops like Shampoodle won't come back, but I wish Lief and Kicks would get their stores back, instead of coming to your island every so often. if they combined these stores with Nook's like they did in New Leaf, that would be sweet.

Hopefully we do. If it does happen it’s probably gonna be Brewster’s Café. The other ones I really hope would come back are the Police Station and Shampoodle, even though we can already use the mirror. I’m hoping they use it to introduce more diverse hairstyles.

I’d like some more buildings but seeing we’re past the halfway mark since the game was released, I’m feeling a little pessimistic. I do think we might get one for Brewster, but I’m trying real hard not to get my hopes up.

I'm thinking Nintendo knows there would be a divided opinion on new buildings. There are people who have meticulously detailed their islands to the point where the addition of a new structure would create a ripple effect of reworkings, which would piss people off.

Then you have the people (like me) who didn't terraform their entire island 'just in case' we do get new buildings, and this group of people will be pissed off that they waited for potentially nothing.

I only want Club LOL back if they make it look like an actual successful club. In NL, the amount of times I'd go in there and there'd only be like two villagers and Shrunk...I'd leave there thinking the place sucked lol

I really, really hope we at least get a cafe for brewster!! I could do with lief getting a shop as well but I'd also be happy if he had his own section added to nook's, honestly waiting for him to show up on my island is the most frustrating thing when I just want more Bushes

I’m leaning more towards the first camp, as I prefer my island to be more on the natural side and my “civilized” area is on the cramped side as it is. I’m sure I’d find a workaround and I’m always open for beefy updates, but I feel like most new buildings are going to end up on the beach for me.

I want to say yes, but it would be completely optional. I can see them adding Brewster as a visitor and you can choose to build him a shop on your island. Otherwise he stays as a visitor. That's what I'm hoping for anyways...

I really want a Brewsters,etc, but I hope they put it in the museum. My Island doesn't have room for more buildings. I also hope Nooks gets an expansion. It's quite boring and needs an update. New furniture too, please.

That's a great idea.

If, eventually, they come up with buildings for all the visitors but make them all optional, I feel it'd be a great way for all our islands to have even greater individuality, based on the choices we make.

I would love if they add a cafe and a night club just like in NL. It was so much fun back then and I think it would be a missed opportunity not to bring back those 2 awesome features.

Let's say I really hope they gonna add more buildings, the island kinda feels empty imo with just the two shops and the museum (not counting the Resident Services here). I could imagine The Roost becoming it's own building again and perhaps one of the "visitor NPCs" gets they own shop, alternative a NPC who didn't show up yet in the game, like Dr. Shrunk for an example. Wouldn't mind to see a comeback of his club, with that K.K. would finally getting a better place to perform his live show (and also stop blocking the Resident Services every Saturday).

I would hope that we would, because I'd love for Leif/Kicks etc to get their own shops instead of just having to sit on the plaza once a week! I'd also absolutely love to get the cafe back but there's a chance that'll be included in the museum and not be its own building I suppose.

In my opinion, based on updates we got so far, we will get NO NEW buildings.
In next (late November) update we will got two new characters and with them, event's with a preparations for those days.
What I'm predicting it will be just like for a Halloween, a month or so preparations and one character per event.
All stationary events will take a place on the main island.
I personally DON'T believe in any additional places / spaces / buildings like cafe, extra shop, LOL club etc.
It may happen but not really believe in it, we will have a chance to invite animals to our home.
Finally, this will be the final "free" update, but all of those updates should be in release version - as we not getting anything extra comparing to NL and terraforming and placing items outside are really new features.
