On one hand I know I really want to see as much as possible RIGHT. NOW. But I'm also feeling like the less I know beforehand, the more surprised and elated I'll be when the game finally comes out in like, a month.

Speculations about an AC Direct next week (like there has been for every week up until now LOL) have me hopeful. Do you personally want more information before New Horizons comes out? Or do you hope Nintendo limits new information until release?

a little; i don’t want the actual gameplay spoiled or anything, but i would like to know how many villagers we can have, whether time travel is still possible and the in-game purchases

I wanna know a lot. I went into NL after it was out and I had so much info already available it made my life so much easier. I feel they should release the info. It’s up to someone if they want to watch it or not.

I would LOVE some information. Just to put my mind at ease that we'll have some key features.

Doesn't matter to me one way or another. I'll take it if they release more info but we've come this far without more info that I feel like I can wait 32 more days easily.

i would like to know those same things, and more information about multiplayer, save data and autosave, and how many characters we can use in our names and island names.

Personally I'm content with what I know, but I feel like other people deserve to know much more before buying the game. It's all very vague and I understand why, but if you expect people to drop 60 bucks you should let them know what the game is exactly. The crafting system changes things, we don't know how exactly it'll affect the rest of the game.

Rumors are swirling that there will be an AC-specific Direct on Thursday. Timing makes sense as it'll be exactly one month out. However, it is only a rumor.

My problem is less with the lack of information, and more with not knowing whether or not we'll be getting any more information, if that makes sense. Like, if I knew they weren't going to tell us anything else, I could stop obsessing (for now).

It's also sort of annoying to deal with how slowly information spreads... I want new information, not just another article about the one island per console limit (a thing we've known about since E3), or how there might be DLC (or microtransactions, if you don't understand the difference between mobile games and console games)-- but oh, wait, they removed that now.

As for a Direct, like you already mentioned, they've been saying that every week, basically. Even if there's some "insider" saying it, I'm not sure how credible they are... a broken clock is right twice a day, but that still doesn't mean it works.

But really, if there's one thing I want to know, it's the character limit for the island name. Hummingbird Island is a bit of a stretch, even if I can somehow get the Island part as a suffix, but I need to know if it'll work or if I should figure out some other name.

Hmm for me I was really wanting more gameplay videos just to see the overworld. I'd like to know about shops too (where they are mostly and what kinds if they're adding new ones) but I think that's it for me. I just want to see gameplay and hear the music really.

At the same time I don't want to spoil too much and get a first feel for everything, but I constantly watched Japanese gameplay videos of ACNL for 7 months before it came out and I still clocked 2,500ish hours into the game so I think I'll be fine either way! Just excited for anything at this point.

Yes, those are my thoughts too! I find myself constantly checking, even at work. You and others I think have good points about at least telling fans about the basic parameters of gameplay. It's not fair that all these new features that we've seen (that seem essential to gameplay!) are still really vague statements (i.e. crafting, Dodo plane, online, deserted island, etc.).

Fingers crossed for a Direct this week!

I'm actually okay with less info. I've been playing since ACGC, so I know the basic gist of things, but I really love discovering new tweaks on my own. I get how some want a lot of info going in, but not me.

33 days left. I am good without news. I don't want them to show too much and spoil it.

I just want to know more about how online play is going to work. Everything else I'm fine with finding out during gameplay.

I'm really indifferent. If there was new information out i'd be all over it but if nothing came up until release i'd be just as happy.

I was going to not look at every piece of info before I found out how little there is, so I'm okay with this.

EDIT: I realized what I do want to know: about pre-orders! They got postponed indefinitely a couple of days before they were supposed to start here (because of coronavirus), now I'm worried if I'll be able to get it the day of...

I'd like some more gameplay, especially in other seasons. I'm fine if they keep a majority of stuff a secret though.
