I used to have a digital watch in highschool but now I have a Fitbit (that I truly need to start wearing again). I find that if I need to know the time, I just check my phone.
I don't own any and I don't typically wear accessories in the first place! I don't even have a clock in my room so all I can do is rely on my computer and phone...
I love love love love love my watch!! When I first started working in childcare at 18 years old I started wearing watches. Knowing the time is really important with my job (signing kids in, signing kids out, knowing what time it is when something occurred for reports, knowing when to start transitions, etc) and I don't always have my phone on me or am close to a clock.
Last Christmas I got myself a little fitbit and I really enjoy it. I like seeing how many steps I take in a day and I appreciate that it syncs up with the time changes for me.
I wear a traditional watch most days; there's something about the style and craftsmanship that just feels special. I also have a rolex sky dweller clone that I love to wear for more formal occasions. It gives me that classic vibe without breaking the bank.
For casual days, I switch it up with a fitness tracker. It helps keep me on top of my steps and workouts, but I still appreciate the look of a nice watch. I think it all comes down to what fits your lifestyle. Some days, I want that sleek, sophisticated look, and other days, I just need something practical.
I used to wear a wristwatch and bought a new one every year. I stopped wearing them when I started to get a rash from the band and moisture getting underneath it. Now I use my phone as a watch and would love to have an Apple Watch but it is so expensive and I’d only be using it for the watch feature.
I own one but never wear it. I took it to school since we weren’t allowed to get our phones out, but I was too self conscious to actually wear the watch so I kept it in my pocket nowadays I just use my phone, but I guess if I was travelling alone and wanted to conserve phone battery or something, I would wear my watch. If it still works
My parents kept buying me watches as a kid and later fitbits once those released, but I never kept them on for more than a few weeks. I don't like the feeling of objects wrapped around my wrist and they always started to smell funky after a while. Now that I have a smartphone I carry everywhere that gives me the time and tracks my steps I have no real reason to get a watch.
I don't currently use any wristwatches, but I've long thought that a pocket watch would be really cool to own and use since I just think they're neat. Maybe someday.
