• Guest, can you feel the love in the air? Valentine's Week at The Bell Tree has begun with a new mini-event featuring four activities to enjoy -- new and returning collectibles are up for grabs! Dive in to the love here.

Do you write stories/about characters and would you like to be an author?

It would actually be really cool to publish a book online for people to buy. I would never ever want to depend on that for full income but as a little side money and project, I say why not? I'd probably do children's books though, to start. They seem easier.

I love to write stories! It's so much fun coming up with characters and plots and how everything will work out. But unfortunately for me, I always end up losing motivation after I end up getting a new idea for something totally different. ^^;

I always wanted to be an author as a child, but I think as I got older I realised it was an unrealistic dream for me. I do want to get back into writing though, just as a hobby. :')

Its nice to see the love for writing here! c:
Thanks for letting me know about your writing genres and habits, I love reading these posts!

Oh! Genres! ^

I am a HUGE sucker for romance and lovey dovey fluff. x3 Literally basically all I write and imagine in my head. So embarrassing ahaha. I sometimes write mystery too but generally it HAS to have some sort of romance in there, of course making it as believable as possible.

I used to write stories all the time when I was younger. I wrote stories throughout all my middle and Elementary school years. It was how I dealt with my social anxiety back then. Every time we had a moment where we was not doing any school work I would open my notebook and start writing to avoid the awkwardness of trying to have an conversation with another kid. Sad I know but throughout my high school years I overcame and conquered my anxiety problems and I haven't write a story since. I still have all my stories I wrote from those days in a folder. Maybe I should re-read them and continue the series I had lol.

I have like 30 OCs I like to write stories for, but I love to rewrite stories too much and writing "What if?" scenarios to ever write a 100+ pages book with one non interchangeable storyline. I don't like stories to be over and done, most of my stories got two rewrites at least, my current and favorite one just started its 5th retelling. Probably wouldn't find happiness in choosing that as a career path where others make the final decisions. But it will remain my favorite hobby, might publish something online if I'm done with it.

i love writing my own stories with my own characters but i also really love fanfiction because the characters are already done for you. my problem with writing stories is that i get new character ideas halfway through a story and i put a ton of effort into them, but then it looks like i put no effort into any of the others lol. i've tried to sit down and established each of the characters, their appearances, ages, allies etc, but i just have no time to sit around and do that it feels like.

i've got too many fanfiction ideas and there's one i've really been wanting to work on but i don't know where to start i guess. the thing is with fanfics i start them and then i give up halfway bc i lose interest in the series or the characters after a while.

i have two main stories i've been working on, but i've never really properly finished them. the first one i've rewritten about 3 times and the second one i've had in the works for a year but have no energy to write. you ever just open the document, sit there with a great idea in your head, then close it and say 'another day'? that's what i do constantly lol.

and yes i want to be an author. it's been my dream since i was a child.

I like writing and want to do it professionally but probably just non-fiction. I'm not sure I'm creative enough for fiction. I am interested in the idea but it's hard for me to make stuff up.

I'm the type of person who has awesome stories and characters but they are all in my head and I don't know how to describe them in proper English. it's just hard to describe what it's like

i am an author. i've written over 10 books, two of which have been printed on school/city newspaper, magazines, and in an actual hardcopy book.

recently i've been having a pretty harsh writer's block, but i'm planning to write a murder mystery thing about life and crap. maybe, not sure about the details.

I used to write a lot, actually. The characters I came up with are always in my mind, but I've been having the hardest time figuring out how to actually tell the story :/

i've drawn characters, cities and towns, but i just haven't written anything. i'm decent at writing.
kinda inspired by someone like deep sea prisoner with all of their characters and such

i love fanfictions, does that count?

i like casually writing and roleplaying, but it's not something that i would do for a living.

I've finished writing one novel. My intention was to make it into a visual novel. I have most of the coding done, but the person who is supposed to be doing the art for me will probably never get around to it, so it will probably never be released. I also have the characters and plot loosely planned out for two or three other stories. I don't really have much motivation to start writing the stories though, cuz again, I had plans to make them into visual novels, but I know that's never gonna happen.

I'm working on something ATM ;) hush hush

But I used to write horrible fanfiction until my friend died, I lost all passion and had a four year writer's block. But now I feel like I've moved on and I'm ready to write a fully fledged novel in her memory.
