When Chief moved in the very first thing Audie did was trick him into marathoning a TV series with her She also suddenly started asking me """hypothetical" questions about crushes Alternatively Audie is the only villager that Chief has ever given a gift to, and it was in her favorite color too (it was clothing)! Literally the VERY NEXT NIGHT Audie asked me to give him a gift back >w< They work out together sometimes, I guess Chief is trying out her hobbies with her LOL Either way it's adorable and I support it

I had Whitney for quite some time and felt bad she had no one, so I chose to bring in Wolfgang for her after seeing the KK Waltz cover art XD and I also wanted another wolf cause the wolves are my favorite
He gives her lots of flowers, and knows her favorite ones Overall they fight like an old married couple tbh LMAO But they're super sweet together ;v; He's still relatively new so he still needs time to settle, but I'm already loving him with Whitney >w<

Chrissy is the most complicated and dramatic LOL I headcanoned that she had a secret crush on Raymond, but he ofc was totally unaware the entire time; they both had a decent number of things in common, and they were both kind of adorable dorks in their own ways lol but it never really got much further than that for them So when I decided to let Raymond go, I was determined to get O'Hare just for Chrissy to ease her through the heartbreak and cause I needed a replacement smug LOL

So yeah, those are my villager ships that I'm clearly too invested in <XDDD

I have a lot of personal headcanons for my villager relationships, I need to jot them down sometime.

The only couple in my island lore is Axel and Hopper, who are both life partners and run a surfboard rental/fishing supplies shop together on the beach. They've kinda unofficially "adopted" Zucker, looking out for him and keeping him out of trouble.

I find the idea of an excitable surfer himbo elephant and a snarky penguin fishing champion falling for each other kinda awesome.

What a beautiful thread I found myself shipping Cherry and Biskit, they really get along very well, actually I would like to send Biskit away from my town(NL), but I would hate to miss the dialogues he has with Cherry. Let's say that Biskit is a bit stupid and with his head in the clouds in general (much more than the other lazy villagers) and there are characters like Cherry and Fang who are really patient and compliant with him. Many cranky villagers are really adorable with lazy villagers, but they don't get along very well with smugs, but on New Leaf I witnessed a conversation between Julian and Fang in which Julian asked me which was the best haircut of the two. I felt a little guilty about not being impartial but I like to see the reactions of my villagers, so I honestly said that Julian had the best haircut(?). Fang sighed disconsolately saying:"it didn't take you even a second to reply, did it?" and he left completely accepting the thing HAHAH while Julian hummed happily (I wanted to kill him at that moment, poor Fang ). I imagined a type of couple in which the extroverted and popular person woos the rigid and introverted person (who is loyal to work and so on) with small daily challenges

UPDATE: Today I played April Fools Day in advance and I discovered that Fang's secret dream is to be a hairstylist!
You can't understand how much I laughed!

Finally, when Paula was living in my town, she was always stalking Grizzly. She talked about him a lot and sent him presents and dropped by for visits. Grizzly never returned the favors and seemed annoyed by her. I think he was happy when she finally moved out. LOL

Not even kidding, the exact same thing is happening here right now. It's so cringe but at the same time I think they'd probably make a great couple. Shame Grizzly just ain't interested lmao.

Raymond has an idea to hold a theatre show. He suggested casting Petri as the princess and himself as the prince (by my recommendation), the twist is the princess is gonna kiss the prince (which Petri vehemently declines)

Lucky/Coco
Lucky mentioned Coco's hair smelled very yummy, she said it was her new shampoo. He asked if he could get a good whiff real close and she got flustered "nononono you can't!"

This is kind of an iffy topic to talk about for me considering that I've never had a real relationship, but I've actually witnessed two villagers hanging out quite a bit, so I'm just gonna say their names:

Dotty and Poncho.

I've talked about it before in other threads, but I caught the two in Poncho's house about a week after I moved Poncho in, and they were smoochin'. I know, sounds very weird. And when I celebrated Dotty's birthday, Poncho was there too. I just made it my personal lore that the two have a thing for each other. When I redesigned Poncho's house, I put in Dotty's photo as an inside joke, so yeah!

Raymond and Static have been on my island together so long that I concider them married, and their houses are side by side, to look like one big house.

Toby is Sasha's popstar boyfriend, who retired from the starstudded life to be with Sasha.

Bruce and Lopez, two university boyfriends, Lopez followed Bruce after graduation and been together ever since. Rumor has it they're more. But no one knows for sure.

My other couples are Kid Cat snd Marshal. The Stan and Kyle of the island (Style), Sherb and Chief are also together ♡

my jock birds (sparro and jitters) are unknowingly in a relationship together; they act like a couple, live next to each other, talk about each other so often that it sort of naturally happened and they have yet to realize it themselves.

zucker and marina are officially married, they also live next to each other and i've decorated their homes to feature the other in their house, and they run a restaurant together on the beach.

I don't ship villagers, but I do notice when they're spending suspicious amounts of time together. I think my villagers are much more into shipping, especially my snooties in New Leaf. Opal was constantly telling me how Jambette and Hugh seemed like such a cute couple, but they weren't one yet. Also, now that she left, Hugh and Cherry seem to have a friendly rivalry and Hugh and Rosie are extremely close. Fang and Lolly are also apparently a couple.

I only have Filbert on one of my islands, but he would go great as Peanut's date. They look very similar in terms of fur design, and I could totally pair them together in a park at night, having the time of their lives just looking at the stars.

So, for the Brucewood Mac story I made on my journal, I hinted at the fact that Kidd and Katt may have had a thing for each other before Kidd decided to leave the band over disagreements with Bruce. When Kidd winked at Katt, it was probably a subtle sign that he wanted their "friendship" to continue, though you could tell later on that Katt was disappointed by Kidd's actions. Katt doesn't have feelings for Kidd's replacement, Lopez, as she just wants the antelope to be a better friend than Kidd. Does it make sense on paper? Probably not, as I'd personally think Kyle would be a better fit for her solely based on appearance, but that's just me.

I don't have dreamies to ship as they are not from the same specie, but why not?
I changed completely my list of future villagers so Pate and Ketchup cannot be together anymore but I find them cute, look at my name lol. Poppy and Marshal are cute together, I've seen some pictures of them on Reddit!

Let's try on my dreamies as I see it's not a problem to ship villagers from different species haha.
Kabuki and Ruby. I don't know why. But I think they're pretty cute.
I think Chester has a little crush on Rocket but it's maybe because he miss his older sister. He doesn't understand his feelings well.
Rory and Tiansheng, love-hate, exercising together. Together? They cannot be a couple because their behaviors are too much. It's what they think.
Cephalobot has a crush on Lily definitely but he is a robot, so can she love him? He is hesitant.
