Does anyone have visual snow?

I'd not heard of visual snow before but I've just been looking into it and fortunately it's not something I think I've ever suffered with, anything that interferes with eyesight or makes things harder to focus on seem like they'd be difficult to deal with and lead to other problems like headaches so I have great sympathy for everyone dealing with this.

Every now and then I'll get some kind of blurry rings in my eyesight, usually after looking at a screen too long, but it only lasts a very short amount of time and sometimes when I'm in bed I'll have a red dot in my vision but this is usually a rare occurrence for me and as long as it doesn't become more frequent or last long it doesn't overly bother me.

Apparently I do? It's not so severe it really affects me, but as a kid I always wondered why there was so much dust in the air and why I could see all of it.

Actually I think it's gotten better over time (or just less noticeable). Today it mostly happens when I focus on looking at a specific point, like there's a very subtle effect filter between the thing and me.

not sure if it’s snow but i did have some weird semi translucent circles floating through my vision whenever i zoned out, or looked at a bright sky. i used to think they were bloodcells on the surface of my eye since they were shaped like a smaller circle inside a larger one lOl
Sounds like floaters, used to have that but I think they kinda got captured in the snow these days so I only see it if I really force it..

This is still a very new thing that is barely getting more attention. I dont know but, I also researched that improper posture stiffens the back on the neck and might cause some after images and visual snow as well. I get after images sometimes. I think its a combination of many factors. Migraines, Blepharitis, Vitreous gel detach, dry eyes, posture, maybe even blood pressure and underlying Heart problems. I still only notice the visual snow at night the most though. I've had visual snow since 2017

i have it mildly. i don't notice it most of the time unless it's dark or i'm looking at a blank or light surface.

What the heck... I didn't understand the forum title. But i clicked and suddenly i have a syndrome...

Those semi translucent circles are very familiar to me. Had them all my life and sometimes i'd observe them/study them. I also think they are some type off blood cells. But mostly i see them in a sort of a tube. A string with blood cells in them. It's like an microscope view and they move over my eyeball. I don't recognize the snow so much. This is an interesting thread!

oh wow.. i get what you mean with the microscopic view, i didn’t know how to describe that ! it really does feel like zooming in 😵. do yours also move out of the way when you try to focus on them? i can’t say mine are in a tube or line though... they just freely float around everywhere for me haha

Yes definitely! They always float out of vision if i'm focusing on them. But when i re-focus then they are there again. It's weird huh... I think this is different then the visual snow i think i dunno...

I have a floater in my right eye that 99% of the time is actually not visible, probably because it moves over to the right or left side of my eye ball. But occasionally it decides to float around right in front of my vision (most likely to happen when I am very tired) and will just kinda be there. I've always had it since I was a kid (and still had 20/20 vision - I need glasses to see distance now but only for things 30+ feet away from me - anything closer literally looks the same with or without glasses) and it's never gotten worse. It also doesn't bother me really.

me basically or if i stare at something for too long, it definitely helps like focusing on different stuff not blank surface aha.

but yeah i got skeptical at first cause i don't have like large snowflakes or tubes in my vision, it's just a grainy mild snow filter and yeah defo worse when dark.. p annoying when trying to sleep but i learned to live with it and it's definitely better from when i first got it
